Anyone Ever Practice This Shot?

ok, posters, this is pretty much the first shot Tom Rossman told me i should practice when he first saw me as an instructor. December 26, 1998 was the day, and i was pretty much a beginner.

the object is to do one of three (3) things on this shot:
1) Follow & scratch
2) Dead stun
3) Draw and scratch

this should tell you whether you are aiming good, aligning/setting up properly, and stroking straight.

now, on the follow scratch and draw scratch you can be content to just getting the cue ball into the pocket. or as Tom would say, you can make it hard on yourself and not accept the cue ball going into the side of the pocket but rather trying to get it into the middle of the pocket.

i still practice this shot sometimes, and at times will set this up into a corner pocket as well.

was wondering if any of you other posters ever practice this?

CueTable Help

I like to really check my stroke and do it diagonally from corner to corner. Follow the ball in the pocket and draw it all the way back into the pocket.
