So I've got a green point predator sneaky on a trade I'm gonna try it out see what its like has anyone done this change? And why? I see most players going too the ob? Idk it might be silly thing too ask I just wanted too know cuz one of them will be for sale soon? Also does anyone know what butt is smaller if any?

I was playing with an OB Classic Pro on a Schon shaft, I now play mainly with a Predator Sneaky Pete, orange point, with a Z2 on it. In terms of play I like them both about the same, but I mainly use the Predator because I grip the cue fairly far back and it has the wrap all the way to the bottom.
Don't worry about what 'most players' are doing 
If there's a trend of switching from predator to OB it might just be in your room. In my room there are more predators than OB's. In any case, who cares what works for other people?

I liked the OB a little more but it's hard to put into words why.
They play almost the exact same and the deflection differences aren't enough to matter.
Unless you've played with one and definitely decided you don't like it,
you're safe just using whichever one looks prettier. Some people can't stand the OB2 funky ferrule.

Just to add to your post: The OB Classic and OB Classic Pro both have a white ferrule.
I play exclusively with Z2; tried OB out some and seems the same to me. But next I will be switching to OB because I like the company and I like what they are doing for pool plus they are american and the owner always comes on here and answers questions. Hard to beat that ! Now if they just had the z2 comparable in stock with a radial pin.....
314,0b1,314-2,Z-1,Z-2,Ob classic and back to Z2
My first supposive LD was a Meucci Black Dot,, Then I went to a 314-1, then a OB 1.
I spent about a year with the 314-1,and about 6 - 8 months with the ob-1,, in regards to the ob-1 the deflection is low ,but the feel is to mushy for my liking ,this goes the same for the ob-2 as well imo..
I switched over to 314-2 which was fairly stiff ,with low deflection ,and very little feel, a associate from a hall I frequented ,had a z-1 for sale for around $100 with my pin size, so after I made sure it was straight on and off I kicked up the $100 and added that to my arsenal..
The Z-1 took some time getting use to it ,but once I did get the gist of it ,it quickly became my favorite shaft in the 11.75 diameter..
So after a while playing with the Z-1,I forked out about $200+ for the Z-2, the Z2 had even lower deflection than the Z1,, and I was very pleased yet again with another Predator product..
As time went on I continued to fluctuate between the z2 and 314-2, eventually sold the 314-2 to a friend,, kept the z2 which I still have and use to this day, but sometimes with the z2, long shots can be quite a challenge, so I wanted a new shaft which had a bigger tip diameter..
So next I got to try the ob classic at the SBX, I then did some research and decided to give the OB Classic a spin, despite my dislike for Ob products in the past, the Ob classic was a good shaft ,it had great feel and a stiff hit ,and relatively low deflection, but the deflection was more than what Id became accustomed to,as it played similar to a conventional shaft with a stiff hit..
I did play with the ob classic off and on for over a year, but then traded it for a mezz wd700,, and that was good trade undoubtedly for me, because the wd700 played with a lot of feel, a medium hit, and lower deflection than the OB classic..
Out of curiosity I bought a Teague 3 B.E.M. shaft ,I mainly bought it because Scott Frost was sponsored by them ,and had stated they had low deflection and a very stiff hit,, which it did ,but the hit was even more stiff than Id preferred, so I rarely used it..
After all my trials with Ld shafts, I decided to try my hand in creating my own shaft "Ghost of Megalodon" LD shafts, I established a method in which I incorporated low deflection, a stiff hit, and feel all in one shaft,standard tip diameter at 12.60..
So more than any other shaft I now use the Ghost shaft above all, though here and again I love playing with the Z-2 ,because it generates so much english due to the 11.75 diameter..
If I was to choose between OB 1 ,Ob classic,or 314-2, or OB 2 or Z-2,, Im going with Predator all the way,, because the hit isnt mushy like ob1 or ob2, and 314-2 has lower deflection than the ob classic at the 12.75 diameter..

I bought two new 314 shafts to use on my old Schon butt. It's really a nice shooting cue. All my friends like it to.
