Anyone going to DCC

This will be my first year to go to DCC. Does anyone that has been there have any suggestions as to where to stay? I will be going alone unfortunately, but I am sure it will be fun nonetheless. I will not be able to go for the whole event, but I will just be able to attend from Jan 27-31. I realize this is a little late in the game but didnt know that I could go till friday.

Any suggestions or ideas? I will be driving there and cant wait!

The Holiday Inn is $79 a night and the Horshoe Casino Hotel is a bit more expensive but closer.

DIAMOND will have a 15 passenger van for transportation of our clientele (pool player's and spectators) from the airport to Horseshoe and Holiday INN as follows:

Jan.22 - 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm, and 11:00pm.

Jan.23 - Jan.31 DIAMOND will run the van from the Holiday INN to Horseshoe as follows:

9:00am depart from Holiday INN arrive @ Horseshoe 9:20am 10:20 depart from Horseshoe arrive at Holiday INN 10:40

11:00am depart from Holiday INN arrive @ Horseshoe 11:20am 12:20 depart from Horseshoe arrive at Holiday INN 12:40

1:00pm depart from Holiday INN arrive @ Horseshoe 1:20pm 2:20 depart from Horseshoe arrive at Holiday INN 2:40

3:00pm depart from Holiday INN arrive @ Horseshoe 3:20pm 4:20 depart from Horseshoe arrive at Holiday INN 4:40

Resume next morning, with same schedule. The schedule is subject to change based on demand from the Holiday INN to Horseshoe. Pickups at the airport may be possible but are also based on demand between Horseshoe and Holiday INN.

A cell phone will be turned on at 7:00am on January 22nd to request service and discuss schedules. The number is (812) 207-8339. The driver's name is Jon.

Please be understanding and courteous. DIAMOND is trying to accommodate EVERYONE! Tips for Jon will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

If you get stranded at the Horseshoe after scheduled hours, taxi service is available from Horseshoe to the Holiday INN. (estimated cost is $15.00)

Anyone going to the DCC should copy Jon's number down just in case even if you have a car.

Be forewarned, I'll be keeping strange hours, inviting friends up to the room for beers and bong hits, and likely to be partying any time day or night. And I'm at the upper end of what you'd call middle-age (OK, OK, I'm 60.) I'll also be spending some time in the action room. If all this doesn't bother you, lemme know.
