Anyone going to North Carolina WPBA event?

Just wondering if any of you will be attending the WPBA tournament next week in North Carolina?

If so, please let me know so that we arrange to meet and say hello!

Hi all -

Melissa, my wife and I were considering the trip, because it is the closest WPBA tournament to us. But I found out that the tournament room only has bleacher seating. Unfortunately, neither my wife nor I can tolerate bleacher seating, with no back rests, for long periods of time. Therefore, we were forced to forget about attending.

I may be wrong, but I think they will lose a lot of attendance, because of the seating. I know they have definitely lost two, for the entire weekend.
Maybe they will plan a little better, next time, and we will get to go.

BTW, they are also banning all cameras in the tournament room, which doesn't make me real happy.

I wish you could go too! But, if you can't make it, I am sure glad to get at least a picture of the dorm-sized table!

Fortunately, I am staying in a hotel...not a dorm...so space shouldn't be that much of an issue.

As far as pictures of college boys...I don't have a digital camera...so I will just use my mental telepathy to "send" you images when I see a cute one!

I am sorry that y'all won't be attending. It's been a long time! I completely understand your reasons though...I would not be very comfortable with bleacher seating either.

I have noticed that several people have cited the "uncomfortable" venue as a reason for not attending....so I will be sure to mention to the WPBA that this was a concern among our fans.

Pool players and their excuses on why they can not take a picture....do you guys get together and discuss which excuse is the best to use, LOL, you are not the first Pro that has used this one on me!!!!

Here we go, just follow these easy instructions:

1. Go here, via these directions.

2. Buy one of these.

3. After you have snapped photos of all the cute boys , drive to the closest one of these and send them to me using one of these .

4. If need be, I can send you cash using this.

Oh, and I don't expect you to actually be doing all this running around, I understand that you will be busy, so just ask Allison, Karen, and Jeanette to take care of it after Sarah and you knock 'em out!!

As to the tourney in NC this week, I am attending the pro am Wed pm and am very excited about meeting the best in the world!! Can't wait.

I have spoken with Tony Davis, and CAMERAS ARE ALLOWED in the tournament area. Just NO FLASHES. He said the initial wording on the website was screwy and gave the wrong impression.

I just wish the bleacher seating was wrong, too!!

The initial wording was just as they wanted it to be.

I had some email communication with Mr. Davis, over a month ago, and he verified, at that time, that cameras were banned. When I questioned this practice, because that has not been the case at other WPBA events, he said something to the effect that the ban may not be enforced.

I just checked their web site and they indeed have changed the wording.
It now says that "flash photography" is banned.
I have no problem with that.
I'm sure the wording has been changed because of the multiple inquiries and complaints.

I still have a problem with the bleacher seating.
I'm sure it is too late to do anything about it this year, but I hope they improve it for next year.
