Anyone got reviews on the OB Break Shaft/Break Cue?

i have the shaft, it is a pretty good product.

the main issue is that i do think it loses some power when breaking hard. the shaft is a little more flexible and the wood ferrule a little softer than i would like in a break shaft. i put a samsara j/b tip on a bk2 and i think that was a better shaft for breaking than the ob break. both have good LD performance, not much difference in that department. however, the ob break is definitely not a bad break shaft, it's just a hair behind the bk2. i'd like to see the ob break stiffen the shaft some and perhaps use a ferrule like their classic series.

you think it'd be a good playing shaft?

I think it would be a perfectly fine playing shaft if you changed the tip. Not unlike the OB-1, it would just be thicker at 13mm and a stronger taper. I think the foam core is smaller as well, so you'd get a bit more feel than the OB-1.

When you say looses 'some' power Mr Chen, how much are we talking here? Maybe describe in MPH (breaking at 30mph, with the OB Break shaft you break at 27mph...as an example)

Thanks

hmm....hard to quantify as I've not conducted scientific testing. I'd say like 10-15% probably?
