I'm not sure why you would want one, but you could always head over to Dick's, Kmart, Walmart, Target, etc and pick up a real cheap cue for couch change and just break it like you want. Or maybe head up to a local hall and ask the owner if he has a severely warped cue or some unusable cue you can buy off him for cheap.
I have heard "my butt is broke" before, but never heard anyone wanting one! You might be better off going to a local poolhall and asking around. The ones near where I live seem to always have some that have the ends of the shafts broken. Even if they are one piece and your lathe won't accommodate the length, you could cut them down. I would also try a local billiard supply store. In many cases, they will buy tables from people selling their homes or just someone needing to get rid of a pool table, and in most cases they have a bunch of junk warped cues, etc. somewhere hanging around.
SOmeone has a monopoly on broken cues in my area...the guy is taking them, making sneaky pets out of the house cues..and selling them for 175.00 I talked to him and he says they sell faster than he can get them.. Although, that is not what I want them for...I want to try making my own cues..how many women do you know of that make cues? I think if I can do this and make quality cues, that to me, it would just be plain fun..of course only quality would go out my door..my dad has a big shop and i have been messing around in it since i was 8yrs old. I just think it would be really fun to make cues...

There were only two noted in the Blue Books that I am aware of: Annie O. from Houston and someone else whose name escapes me now. Annie died earlier this year but made a hell of a good cue. Those are the only ones I know of.
On a similar note, Pat Schrager, Mrs. Huebler and I believe a couple of other cuemaker wives have done work on cues like wraps and inlay work. Tracy Dunham Bender does some of the design work for Mike Bender (her husband).

Thats what I thought..honestly, did my picture look that bad? I still say he is a woman trapped in a mans body....he sounds like a girlyman....I bet he has a nice Players cue though:thumbup:
