Anyone have a Predator BK2 Sport? Need a Review

Im deciding whether to go with the wrapless or the Sport cue.
They balance well compared to the early bk2. Control well on medium breaks.

Bought one and immediately sold my BK2. The wrap is phenomenal. Perfect grip for breaking. Buy one.

correct me if im wrong here, but predator added a leather wrap to the BK2 and put a 314 2 shaft on it and called it a new break cue right? so why not just break with your playing cue that has a leather wrap and a 314 2 shaft?

Ben

the new Sport BK2 has a rubber wrap, similar to the Poison VX 2.9 J/B. No break cue from Predator has a leather wrap.
As for the shaft, the BK2 or the Sport version shaft has phenolic below the tip.

I bought one as soon as i could. They hit the same but the rubber wrap adds some consistency, you most likely would hold the butt in the same place each time you break with the rubber wrap.I couldn't be happier with the new wrap.Goodluck!:)

I thought the wrap felt a little wierd where the predator writing sticks up. I liked the feel of the poison break cue grip better.

got the BK2. the sport grip felt too tacky for me. it felt great feeling it for the first time, but after stroking with it awhile, the tackiness of the grip gets kind of irritating for me. i went with the wrapless instead and its the best feel for breaking. feels like a 1 piece.

I did that for a while. Not really for hard break. But after a couple of months, the ferrule exploded! Not crack, not chip, Exploded! they ought to put a warning sign on that!

I wonder if the ferrule is the same on the break cues as that on the play shaft. Does anyone know?

any trouble getting it in and out of your case with the rubber wrap?

no problem at all. only thing is the sport grip isnt even on all sides. the predator logo is only on one side, the other side is just black. if the grip was all even and uniform i would have like the look a lot better.

they put way too much thought into advertising.

i like not having the wrap. the feeling of the wrap in my hand and if im holding it in the same spot or not messes with me. but ive always liked wrapless cues for that reason. either cue is awsome though.

it does have a laminated shaft and a legal tip to break with. under the tip is a layer of carbon fiber to also reduce to end mass and make a harder hit. its not a 314-2 shaft. but does have as many of the advantages they could get out of their technology. i had a bk, bk2, sold my bk2. punched myself for selling it and then bought another bk2. I am trying to get used to a harder tip that way i can break with my sneaky when i am out at bars and stuff "supplementing my income" :o) but i will never get rid of my predator air....
