UPDATE: For anyone coming across this post looking for Max information I have found everything I was looking for.

Thanks for everyone's help. I am pretty sure I got this series figured out 100% now.

For anyone coming here looking for info, here are links to all of the images, data, pricing, and brochure images I've collected:

* on the Meucci Maximum Brand
* and their "MAX Series"

Note: I am still looking for real (or clear brochure images) of the max2, max6, and the blue max7 if anyone has any.

I am trying to pin down the model number and other details on this Meucci Maximum cue. It isn't on the usual brochure/catalog page on budgetbilliards as you can see below.

Does anyone have a brochure or catalog listing the cue in the attachment? If so, can you snap a quick photo?

Notice how it isn't in this one? Meucci did make a similar "winter series" model with the same design around 1998 but obviously this cue isn't from that series, given the "maximum" logo.

I can maybe look it up. Don't pay attention to the $270 price tag.

The cue never cost that much and only worth $125 today.

On these, the shaft or the butt always warped.

@poolguy4u - thanks, I would muchly appreciate it... I am less interested in the price, and more interested in seeing the brochure/model info, etc. Would appreciate anything you might find, and thanks in advance.

that is designed in to Meucci cues,that way you know it's the real thing and not a knock off.
 
LOL I was waiting for the Meucci jokes to start flowing :)

Why do you guys reply when you have nothing helpful to add? Insulting and making fun of Meucci cues (and the OP's cue) is not nice. I have had many Meucci cues over the years, and none of them have been warped like a banana. That is just a really silly thing to say about them. Most of the ones that I ever had were very straight.

Telling people their personal experience with the exact make and vintage of cue that an OP is asking for is exactly the correct and helpful thing to do.

I've owned several Meuccis and would never part with the two I currently own. My Maximum is the only cue I've owned that the shaft warped on its own, securely stored in a case with two dozen other shafts.

Would you rather that I don't tell the OP my actual experience? Should I lie? Should I hide that real experience?

If that's your desire, I will suggest all posters who reply to your multiple cue questions with only great comments, as false as they may be. Just for you, I'll do that. Good?

The OP was asking for info about a Brochure. So far, the OP has not received any helpful info about the question that was asked. It just annoyed me that the only type of replies the OP received were jokes, and bashing of meucci cues.

The OP seems to have had the biggest laugh on this thread over the jokes. But, hey, let's stop that.

So on the off chance that someone might want to buy one of these Maximum cues now or any future searches on said Maximum cues, those of us who have further information shouldn't respond with the negatives for fear that this would be perceived as Meucci bashing.

Just want to be sure I'm reading you correctly, and that the bed you're laying down... you're prepared to lie on it.

Thanks all for chiming in. Let me clarify what I was looking for.

I don't own a "Maximum" cue, I don't have one to sell, I don't want to buy one. I don't make cues, and I don't sell cues. I don't even consider myself a collector of cues. So I don't have a "dog in this fight" so to speak.

But I AM very interested pool cues. I love looking at designs, and learning the history of various lines of pool cues. It is fascinating. I can't afford to collect cues, so like someone who admires antique autos (regardless their initial quality), but can't afford to collect them, I just admire cues and their history from a distance.

It just so happens that the particular cue in my original post is one that I can't currently identify back to any original Meucci marketing/pricelist/catalog/brochure. I am asking purely out of interest in becoming more knowledgeable about the history and back stories on various lines of various pool cue manufacturers.

I know that the folks here are full of historical info, and lots of folks have or have access to old catalogs and brochures, so I thought maybe I would try a shot in the dark.

Even the replies I DID get tells me some about the general perception of the line and the manufacturer, but no, it doesn't really get me what I was looking for.

Again, thanks in advance to anyone who took/takes a minute to look through a few brochures for me.
