Anyone have picture's of Dale Patten cues

Dale patton- Gus Blank

Here is my Dale patton made with a Gus Blank. I need to dig out the paperwork, but I bought this from Dale after reading about him in the first Edition of the Enclyclopedia of Billiards, by Victor Stein and Paul Rubino. If I recall he also has write up in Brad Simpson's BB's. It mentioned he sourced blanks from Gus towards the end of his career. Being on the west coast, Dale spoke with Gus frequently about cue making but I do not believe they ever met in person. Dale was the brother in law of west coast legend Richie Florence and for a time made the "Richie Florence" cue.

This cue has a great hit. Gus Szamboti Rosewood blank with a flame veneer, MOP inlays and delren but cap, ivory ferrules. I think a good source of information might be Rick lansburg, former owner of Best Billard's from LA.

Dale made a great cue and was a very nice guy. Good luck.

I went to his shop (at his house in the garage in Redondo Beach) several times from 1982-1984 for minor repairs. I lived in San Diego at the time but there wasn't anyone in town with a cue lathe then until Leroy started dinking around. Dale was a gentleman and very talented. He had a few 50's T-Birds in the driveway that were either fully restored or on their way. That was also a hobby of his.

Here is my Patten cue. I'm not sure who made the blank or how old the cue is. Flat faced ivory joint and 3 original shafts. Great playing cue.

Did you by chance pick this up on eBay about 4 years ago?
