Anyone Heard of LP Custom Cues?

Not sure if I know him or not since I could find no cuemaker name on the site. But his prices are really great, so someone wanting a custom cue at a great price might want to check it out.

Awaiting the LP Custom Cue

Hi all,

Have any of you heard of, seen, or tried a cue from LP Custom Cues?

I am not planning on buying one, but just looking for some information on the maker or his cues.

The website is: http://lpcustomcues.com/1.html

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

I placed an order with Lee a few weeks back and can vouch that he is great at communicating. He was extremely helpful with my selection and his prices cannot be beat. I originally heard of him from a post a few months back and decided to give him a try, you can't beat $350 for a full spliced veneered cue. It does look like some of his blanks do come from Duc Lam, and I have known players that have shot with his conversions and raved about them. So I figured, "why not?"

I will post a review of the cue after I receive it which should be in a couple of weeks.

No Reviews Yet

I have not received mine yet... As soon as I do, I will post a review... I am waiting with eager anticipation... ;)

Got 2 of them coming in about 3 weeks.

Lee is a great person to deal with. Fast replies to email. I will be posting reviews when i get them. One of the cues have lot of specs requests. So im interested to see how close he comes to the requests. I use a light stick and dont like forward balanced cue and i prefer a softer hit and shorter shaft so he's definitely got his work cut out for him. But like i said he has been the greatest on any requests i've made.

LP Custom Cues

Hey

I have sold many of my cues over the last few years, but just recently started selling on AZ.

I have sold a few here but nobody seems to want to leave any feedback or opinions of my cues.

Mostly the feedback I have received is positive with a few critiques.

Maybe if someone sees this thread or post they would be willing to get the ball rolling.

Thanks
Lee

i got one of his cues

i bought the butterfly cue he had on the site a month or so ago. it was from an old butt and that is what i was loking for. it was really inexpensive and i was worried about dealing with Lee as he seemed new. but he immediately returned emails and walked me through the buying process. and unbelievably got me the cue in just a few days.

now for the review. i was holding off because i am lazy and i wanted to order two more cues from Lee before i made a post about my cue. but i can see it is time.
first the cue hits great. better than i imagined. i believe in old wood. but thats me as i am an old player. the butt was finished nicely and the leather wrap was tight and hard to find the seam. i dont like leather wraps but this one was rough not like my balabushka. so it doesnt slide around and felt good. but next cue is Irish linen.
the shaft has an ivory ferrel and i think a moori tip but not sure. it has a progressive type taper which is what i prefer as a stiff shaft hits good for me. steel joint. it is a thick one on the inside and has mass. i think thats good. maybe thats more standard now a days as its noticeably thicker inside than my other old sticks.
the joint is actually wider than at the start of the butt which is weird but i believe the old butterfly stick must have been and is narrow and its okay.
he put two inlays that look like mother of pearl near the back of the butt and did a very nice job on them. it also has a hoppe ring with black buttcap and no bumper. this is what i like in a cue. it is also thin in the but. but that may be because of the unusual piece it came from. i would buy another tommorow if he made one.
as a matter of fact i think tommorow i will order a cue. hows that.
