I was told by a business, that shall remain nameless, that they could take my 8pt Predator wrapless, and cut a wrap groove in it and put an irish linen on it.
I go in there yesterday and all of a sudden they can't. They guy at the counter (some fella I've never seen) says that there is usually a different wood underneath the wrap, and they join the cue with the forearm, etc. This Predator is a full splice cue to my understanding, which would eliminate a technical forearm?
Regardless he said it would cut into thepoints on the cue, and I told him I wanted the wrap to start at the bottom where the points dont quite meet. "Oh. It's still difficult."
Is there anyone in Charleston that can do this? I'm not really big on shipping my cue off to have it done, but if that is the only way then I'll consider.
Thanks guys!!!
