Little story

Hello All,

I asked Jay to post pics and I would tell a funny story about these cues.

One of the top players of all time from Indiana, is from my hometown. He was and is a strange guy because IMO, he hardly ever gets out of line, and never seems to take a hard shot. He is the kind of player that people watch and think he isnt that great of player, anyone could make the shots he makes. They dont understand that the key is his cueball control that allows him to stay on the right side and make the shots look that easy.

Anyway back to the cue, my friend had just picked up a cue like this one and went to New York state to play in the state championship. The "superjoint" (and I wish Jay would take a few extra close ups to show it) on this cue was the latest new thing. He was offered numerous Balabuskas and Szambotis for this superjoint Viking that he was playing with at the time.

My buddy said after being offered so many Balabuskas and Szambotis for his Viking he told them, "Do I think I am stupid? Im not trading!"

I think about all those cues and what they would be worth now.... sometimes I wish he wouldnt have told me that story.....

LOL.

Nice cue Jay, would you be interested in trading for a Balabushka or Szamboti?

Viking?????

I played with one of the old Viking Super Joint cues in 1970. Mine had the Wico veeners. At Johnson City in 68 I saw a member of the forum trade his balbushka for a Super Joint Viking similar to yours. I tried to buy it off the vendor but he wouldn't put a price on it. Many of the old super joint cues had the Paradise look with the Ebony dots sprinkled throughout
the cue. This is an extremely nice Viking.

Pinocchio,

Thanks for the kind words. You should see this cue in person, the pictures truly do it no Justus.
