Anyone notice that Pool stuff on E-bay

Like to look at e-bay, but never bought nothing there, or used Pay Pal system as it Scares Me.

Seems like the Cue selection of summer that was 1800-1900, has soared to almost 3,000 cue for sale almost everyday this past week.

Could the economy be going down? Or?

X-mas time, baby!!

Also a good time to contact your lo-volume cue maker to negotiate his need-cash sale price!!

More to do with vendors who dump 40 or 50 cheap cues at a time on there for sale. The number of quality cue seems to remain about the same.

Ebay scams

I was recently the unsuccessful bidder on a cue and had at least two people try to scam me with a notice that the high bidder had defaulted and I could buy the cue for my bid.

Nobody can fault you for not spending your money- better safe than sorry and all that- but how do you know it warz scammin?

e-bay has something called "second chance" if top bidder welches, it can be re-offered to 2nd highest bidder. it's all above board, commission to e-bay paid, etc. if the offer came from the seller, with an e-bay listing for the item, it was legit.

otoh, if someone else just e-mailed you because you were the second highest bidder, i would avoid that deal.

I am very leary of a second chance offer from a seller. Makes me wonder if they had a shill running the bid up.

JoeyinCali, a 1911 generally referes to a Colt semi-auto 1911 or 1911A1 pistol in cal. .45acp. There are numerous copies, some good some bad, of the Colt. The 1911A1 was the issue military sidearm until the Beretta was adopted to standardize with NATO on the 9mm. Dumb move but nobody asked me. They, 1911's, are readily traded across the US. Not everyone has to adhere to the laws of the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia. :D

Ahahahahahaa!!!!! :D
We retired the 1911 to replace it with a pea shooter from Italy.
At least some of our chosen few have the HK 40 cal. I know it's made in Germany, gulp, but at least it's a badder caliber.
I own a Commander and Sig P220.
Btw, I bought a cue on second chance from a cueamaker 2 years ago. It was a smooth deal.
