Anyone old enough here to have known my father?

In my thread about asking about my late father's Adams pool cue, it was suggested that I mention my father's name to see if anyone here knew or heard of him. His name was Carl Rizer, and pool was his passion. Whenever he had the time after returning from serving in WWII to the early 1990s, he could be found in a pool hall. It didn't matter how seedy or dangerous the place was - if there was a pool or billiard table in the joint, he hung up his sport coat and tie, rolled up his sleeves and played for hours. Because his profession was high up in the government, he often went by different names to keep his identity a secret (and protect himself). He made many friends in pool halls in many states, and when he became a senior citizen, the friends he had made over the years always made sure that he got to his car safely if he was in a bad neighborhood. He was a cool guy and a unique character.

From the 1960's to 1990's, he played mostly in Northern California, the Palace Billiards in S.F., was one of his fav hangouts, and he played in many San Rafael (Marin County) tournaments. He went by "Carl Rogers" frequently, or simply "Carlos."

Yes, that's him! You probably won't find anything else online about him because he used an alias name when playing in pool rooms or tournaments (but, he might have used his real name after he retired when playing in tournaments).
