Anyone play with a purpleheart shaft?

I know that some like a purpleheart shaft for breaking, but I'm wondering if anyone uses (or has tried) one on their player?
 
I recently got a purpleheart shaft with a Schmelke I had on order. It has their standard pro taper, and a 12.5 mm medium hard tip. I had originally thought I would use it for breaking, but it plays rather well. I had expected it would be too stiff, but it turns out that's not the case.

I'm not crazy about the current tip, so i'm going to switch to a Kamui black soft, and see how I like that.
 
I played with one for about six months. Went back to maple. Not for any reason. My game got stagnant and it was time for a change.

I one for my break cue and it does fine. I break about 28mph according to the speed clock at the tournament this past weekend
