Anyone remember hole saws sharp enough to cut ivory cicles

instead of cutting ferrules from squares- does anybody remember the (hole saw drill bits )used for cutting ivory circles out- of ivory ,antler material, going to use on Micarta . 14.-15mm. Looking to replace the dull ones!! thanks in advance for help !! mark

Do a search for coring drill bits. They make them to cut wood, metal, or glass. There are several suppliers online.

To each their own but I believe they both waste to much material and get the material to hot. I know of someone who was using one to cut ferrules out of a small block of old yellow micarta. He saved 3 or 4 hours in turning time but he got about half as many ferrules out of the block that he could have so the wastage amounted to a about a 1000.00. Convenience can be very costly.

I think so too.
Thin carbide band saw blade is what I'd recommend.
Then turning them round.
