Ivory.....likely as not but it could be original to the cue.

Jim Rempe 7 - 09-14-2005, 10:52 PM
Hi all. I'll add my 2 cents also.
The 95-32, the 97-32, and the discontinued Red HOF 8 do not have the ivory. However, even using a magnifying glass, it's hard to tell the difference.
The Jim Rempe 7, commonly referred to as the King James or the Crown Jewels, from the Meucci Jim Rempe series is virtually identical to the previous 2 model 32s mentioned. However it DOES have all the ivory, butt cap, joint, and ferrules. Make sure u can c the swirls/x-ing/grain in the ivory, or it's not a JR 7, but one of the 32s. I do have a brand new JR 7 w/3 never chalked shafts. I bought it from an old Meucci dealer's private collection, and I did c his bill of sale from Meucci confirming it to b a JR 7. Mine was a custom order by that dealer adding the 3rd shaft and also a lavender stained forearm. What the originator of this thread is asking about is simply a JR 7, and not a custom one of a kind. The Blue Book has it's value (last I heard) at $2400 in good shape. I'm sure brand new would b more.

Hi,
Perhaps you didn't understand what I said, The Bluebook shows the "1996 Production cue" The cue with all of the Ivory which was built by Bob Meucci (Not Meucci Productions) was built in 1980 and has never been chalked. I'm interested in knowing that since you are a Meucci Collector, do any of yours have Genuine Ivory inlay, joint and buttcap also ivory ferrules? The one I'm debating on buying has all Ivory and is Definately "One of a Kind" . I guess what I am trying to say, is, that if there ever was a Meucci worth $3000, this one would be it. It was made by Bob Meucci and is not a Meucci Production cue, plus all of the Ivory and Ebony in it, that's what makes it a rare egg.
Thanks,
Greg
