Anyone seen this yet? *The Pool Mate*

I wonder how well it holds a cue. Unless it is fairly loose it looks like if it were knocked over it would snap your shaft just before the tip.

Lol, inspiration comes from many places

Even if it holds the cue well, the base is small compared to the height of it when a cue is being held. It would tip over if bumped hard I would think.
I like the concept, but as its designed, it would have been better executed as a blow molded shell weighted with sand to keep the price point low. But as others have pointed out the tripping hazard etc. makes it a not so good idea.

Now to redesign it, using the same concept of the inserts; If they can be made to hold a cue safely and securely without any risk of damage to the cue, a better product would have been a one piece wall rack. Imagine a fixture attached to the wall about a foot off the ground with a line of these inserts, you would just walk over and put your cue into basically a docking station. Again, it would be reinventing the wheel as far as cue racks are concerned...... but it would have been better than a $200 door stop..... :D

:lmao: @dookie scrubber above , it does bare a resemblance to kickstarter .
Jokes aside ,It has a place, but for no more than $30-40.

Regardless of what you think of the product, you have to admit they made a great KickStarter promo video with Ms. Lee. If they keep coming up with classy stuff like this who knows - you may find one under the Christmas tree. Good luck to them.

I'm working a single pencil holder that goes on a desk. I can't believe that nobody has ever drilled a single hole in something before and called it a Pencil Mate.
That cue holder should go in the top 10 of useless products...
