Anyone Tried one of these

Sorry ...

I only like cue holders made of rubber, not wood (unless felt lined), nor of a plastic.

My *****, was before I sold my jump cue (just use a break/jump cue now), that a bar table height edge was too high to put your jump cue into the holder, so you had to find somewhere else for the jump cue. Now, with a Break/jump cue with quick release joints, I don't have to worry about that.

I really don't care for it when an opponent sticks a lower butt end in a pocket when shooting a jump shot. Do the rules say anything regarding something like that?

I've only tried one cue holder, the "Q Claw". I like it because you just set it on the table, no clamping involved, and its own weight and no-slip grip hold it in place. It easily fits in the small pocket in my case. Works well for me. The downside is that it won't help you if someone bumps your cue hard enough.

It's my favorite due to the soft foamy positive grip it gives the cue, and it holds the table very well. It doesn't work in ALL cases, though, but it's still my favorite.

I really dont like using any of them to be honest. I'm either a corner man or I just slide my break cue under the table. If someone offers I would just to be polite. There always placed at the end of the table right where everyone is walking. Kind of like putting on a mesh suit and jumping in the water with sharks. I'd rather just keep the mesh suit off and go nowhere near them.;)

the Q claw gets my vote, I have spent a lot of money on various different ones over the years, the Q claw is the only one I realy liked. And just as I was about to complain about the rubber pad they used coming off of them, they improved the design and thay are even better now. I love it when a product is simple and does exactly what it was intended for without a single moving part!

Cue claw gets my vote. It is cheap works well and small. Also easey to go table to table. JMO:)

Q-Claw

I have the Q-Claw that holds five cues, and it is so heavy that it will stay on just about any surface, rounded or straight. My team mates love it too, cause it winds up being full every night at league. It is so thin, that it fits nicely in the cue case too. I have used some that won't fit in every case. My vote is deffinately the Q-Claw.

Does the Cue Claw work on a round table? I need something for a round pub table.

Just make sure you wipe the beer off first. ;) ...although I wonder how well the treads on the no-slip grip would hold up in a little puddle.

Mine has had no problems on a round table. Its a two-cue-er, but when the need arises it can fit four by leaning one extra up against each side of it.

I like the one sold in Vegas at BCA...The "stick em up"....It holds 2 cues. Is plastic with foam rubber on bottom and has a clothes pin type opening. Will fit round pipes or wood tables from the smallest thin table to a 4 inch table....It clamps on like opening a clothes pin....I put rubber 1/4" , door trim inside gooves for cue to lay against. Use a cord and it fits flat on the outside of my case....They cost $10.00....Every year I bring back 20 extra and sell them in 2 days....

Cue Holder

I used to use the Q-Claw also. The only problem I found with them was when someone would bump the table the "knuckles" lost the cues. I switched to the Gripper Caddy by Bauer. The slots are longer and secure the cues better. It's bigger than the Q-Claw but still fits in the pocket of my case.
