Hi,

I'm going to be in Nashville in 7 days for 2 weeks and wondered if anyone is interested in shooting some one pocket. I'm a D level player and would be happy to play friendly or something.

lol @ "D" level player.

*disclaimer - I do not know this player, but really, who says they're a "D" player?

Just trying to be honest, I've never lied about my game.

I enter C tournaments and go 2 and out. I'm offered the 7 from most of the entire field of the C tournament. I think that classifies me as a "D" player.

Figured there would be someone who likes pool who would just like to say hello and play some friendly pool or meet up and talk about a sport we both like.

I play horrible, I have no idea what classification I am but "D" player sounds like you'd be about an APA 4, is that accurate?

U12;
You sound like a honest guy to me.. I wish you luck in finding a game and having fun... If you ever make it to east Texas holler at me I would be glad to visit and play with ya some..
The Dster.

Try JOB's north of Nashville, or Murfreesboro Billiards south of Nashville - There is one pocket action at both locations. Beware though, shark infested waters.

I don't think a 4 would be accurate. In 8 ball when I played (Valley league) I think for the whole season I had 2 ERO's (maybe 2) I had 2 or 3 EOB's and my downfall was that my bar table 8ball break was so good that if I didn't make a ball it was over, no tied up balls, etc. (there are a few games up from a few years ago of me playing 8 ball) Unfortunately, I did dry break a lot and it was a simple run out for most ppl.

I move pretty decent, but I think something may be wrong with my alignment. I think I could probably stand to play one small 8 or 9 ball match (looks like JOB has one of both) because of the up and down repetitive shooting and the possible frequency of getting to the table my back would shut down really quick lol.

I'm guessing I'd be a 5, but there are 6's here who can't beat me (or should I say back in the day couldn't beat me) (more so I can't beat most of them).

I do have a one pocket mentality so in 8 ball I'm looking for that move or safe.

Anyway, thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Not looking to get over on anyone, will just be an incredibly long 2 weeks away from home and I would like someone to play one pocket with or swap stories.

Thank you.

Thank you. I immediately thought of JOB, and it's only 7 miles from my hotel, but I really am chum at this point, I don't know how anyone plays and am not looking to get into a game with the typical (sure I'll shoot you some friendly $20-50 a game one hole) LOL. And knowing that I have 0 chance.

A very nice person PM'd me and gave me the name of someone at JOB who would make a fair game with me and that's all I can ask. I only ask for a chance to win. If I have a chance and lose then it's on me.

If anyone from here is close, please PM me and we can have some dinner or something. This is going to be extremely difficult for me as this is the first time on hotel beds for 2 weeks after my most recent back surgery, and I'm anticipating bad times.

Thanks.

I've been to JOB's in years past when I was staking an Indiana player on the road and liked it a lot.

Couldn't believe it's only 7 miles from my hotel, that's crazy.

just go to job's. its a cool poolroom even if you dont get down doing anything

Is Hamilton close to Barrie? I was up there for some training 5 years ago, liked it, nice people, no issues whatsoever.

I don't play one pocket, heck I have a hard time playing 6 pockets. Listen you seem like a nice man, one pocket can be brutal be very careful. Always remember eyes wide open.

Thanks much Skip.

I know it's so easy to hide your true speed and I'm just the sucker to not pick up on the little things.

I really do appreciate all of you taking the time to respond to this thread, it means a ton.

Its within a couple hours, its north of here.

Good luck in the search, if we're on the road soon I'll stop in and play some with you. I play APA and we could make a fair, fun, cheap game while the good players play.
