Anyone use Triangle tips?

Just wondering what everyone thought of Triangle tips in here????

same thing i think about a cuetec.......its crap.......LOL.

seriously though, i've used them, for a "hard" tip, they are kinda soft like duke said. i don't like or dislike them, though i know several people who swear by them.

VAP

If done right, their a pretty good tip, Standard for quite a few cues,
Southwest
Joss
Scruggs
Samsara
Of course this list could change anytime.

The tip that came on my new Viking is too soft, and it seems to glaze over pretty easily, too. I'm going to have it replaced with a Triangle tip.

The Triangle on my old cue hits like a rock (I like it).

I love them as a general rule. Some boxes I have ordered are either all too hard or all like mush. Get the right one though and they are great. They don't require a whole lot of upkeep. FWIW :)

I think the rounded tips are the best.
If it is a triangle, then you would have to align your cue to one of the three sides before every shot.
That would get annoying.

I use Triangle tips on my playing Cue. I rarely mis-hit and I find them to be very consistant. Infact I've got so comfortable with them, I don't think I'll use any others. I've been using elkmaster on break cue. But I think I'm going to switch it soon to a Triangle Tip.

Yea i got a box coming in tomorrow just wanted to see everyone elses view on this tip i to will only use this tip FROM NOW ON due to the fact it never let me down at ALL......And whats the deal with the old man what the H*@# is he talking about anyways?

Make sure you press them in a vise before installing them. THey are too spongey before pressing. They will play very soft if you don't pre-press. THey will harden up after a week of playing if you don't press them but then you will have to cut the mushroom off. Just press them first for a few seconds and you won't have to do much to them in the future.

Think outside the triangle....you'll get it....(maybe)

I have never had one mushroom at all and i shot with one for 11 months all i did was scuff it seldomly. Never had a problem with a it being to soft though. And that show i guess is old school. Id rather listen to an old timer about pool than a young person. Been around longer and seen and done more things. Oh yea i made one of those so called milkduds today out of an elkmaster tip by soaking it in milk then in the sun all day man its like a rock. And also i made my own phenolic j/b tip today and its just like the ones you buy but free for me.....Also i gotta get a box of those W/B tips.
