I also have always been a traditionalist and was not a happy camper when the game changed from Green to the Tournament Blue many years ago, then the hall I played in at the time followed that lead and went to Blue.As somewhat of a traditionalist, it's always been my favorite color. Now that I'm setting up an old table with new everything I'm doing a little second guessing.

Anything but whorehouse red.Buy/use what you like. There are no rules.
Pool cloth is green, the 5 ball is orange, baseballs are white, footballs & basketballs are brown, stop signs are red, etc., etc. Change is confusing. As somewhat of a traditionalist, it's always been my favorite color. Now that I'm setting up an old table with new everything I'm doing a little second guessing.

That’s not an accurate photo - it is much brighter. It is as bright a green as tournament blue is a blue. As others have said, good LED lighting is the key. Can’t go wrong with Simonis green. As somewhat of a traditionalist, it's always been my favorite color. Now that I'm setting up an old table with new everything I'm doing a little second guessing.

That's nice, I like it. Simones website doesn't seem to be the best for a true color evaluation.I prefer green over blue. This is The Granito GT2000 in blue-green.

I have photos of our tables here with Simonis green that look completely different than the swatch shown in the first post, but unfortunately, I don’t know how to load photos here.Looks about right to me. Maybe your screen settings are off.
Years ago my first table was a Brunswick Viscount and when I got it home it obviously needed new cloth. I went to an old blilliard supply company on mission street in SF called Whitehead and Zimmerman maybe some of you old timers will remember it. Brought in the rails to be recovered and the guy said "what color do you want"? Being rather new to this I said "well what color should I get" and he said "Son there are two things is this world that need to be green, one is a dollar bill and the other is pool table cloth!" I've never had any other color on my pool tables, including my current Gold Crown 3.
It's all I use on vintage tables. As somewhat of a traditionalist, it's always been my favorite color. Now that I'm setting up an old table with new everything I'm doing a little second guessing.
