Anything different about this OB Classic Pro shaft on Amazon than anywhere else?

Hi all,

I hope I'm posting this question in the correct section. I have an Amazon.com store card that I might actually put to use on an OB Classic Pro Shaft for my Schon STL4 with a piloted 5/16x14 pin and black/silver collar. It will actually come from Ozone Billiards.

My question is, if I order this from Amazon (Ozone), will it natively fit nice and snug with my cue? I don't want to end up with a horror story about purchasing what seemed to be correct, but only in to find out in the end that Schon requires something super special or is "finicky" about shafts other than their own.

Here's the link on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/OB-Classic-Pro-Shaft-11-75mm/dp/B003MEXVDY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362619593&sr=8-1&keywords=ob+classic+pro+shaft

Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

Thanks for the quick reply! Although it will fit, will it be a snug and native fit? Asking because I was just about to purchase an OB shaft from Seyberts but then found out that it appears that they have a 5/16x14 as part of their "standard" OB shafts for sale, however they also offer a "Custom Classic Pro".

The pictures are completely different. I did the same comparison for their Predator shafts. They have the 314-2 and then the Schon 314-2. Why the difference? Please view the attached picture of what I'm seeing. Does Schon have two different 5/16x14 configs? For reference, I have the STL4 model.

Thanks again!

It will more than likely fit nice and snug like you want it to. However, the diameter could be dead on or off a bit, meaning you could have some overlap at the joint/shaft collar....or underlap (is that a word....doesn't sound right).

Please define "snug and native fit".
You asked if the pictured shaft in your first post would fit a Schon.
I replied, yes, it will fit a Schon.

Since you've done your homework you now ask why the difference.
The difference is that one is built specifically for a Schon and the other
is built to fit the majority of 14 thd cues.
The difference lies in the 'pilot'. Schon uses a larger pilot.
There is no other difference.
The pilot of the first shaft shown will fit the majority of 14 thd. cues.
The larger Schon pilot won't. It will only fit a Schon cue.
