I'm going to be traveling to Dallas for work the 9th -15th and was wondering if there are any good tournaments to sweat or good action rooms that I maybe able sweat some action.

The 9th - 12th I will mostly be working during the day and hanging with my boss in the evening for dinner and some drinks. 13th-14th I'm free and will be more than likely hitting 1 or 2 pool halls. That doesn't mean I can't break away at night on the 9th-12th if something is going on.

Also any food recommendations are greatly appreciated. I'm staying at the Sheraton downtown Dallas. I see plenty options near the hotel but if someone has a favorite let me know. Price and food type are not a concern, we like all food and don't mind spending for great eats. I will have a rental car but would be looking for walking distance or cheap cab rides away. That way we can have a few cocktails with dinner and not have to worry about driving after.

Thanks

You will be staying in a cultural area of Dallas. You've got the Dallas Symphony nearby, Perot Museum, West End District. For clubbing there is Deep Ellum.

If you like Mexican food, check out taqueria la ventana.

If you like BBQ, check out Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum. They are closed Mondays, and check their hours, as they are only open for lunch on some days.

Would you care for a private one-on-one lesson on Monday?

Hey friend,

Question... in your training sessions do you focus on aiming/pocketing balls... i.e... aiming systems for specific shots?

I may be in the area and interested at some point in the future.

That's just an every day part of our Pool School.
I can isolate those workshops for you anytime you are ready.
Remember, I know a dozen aiming systems.

Where do you do your trainings at in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.... and how much do you charge?

I second the vote for Pecan Lodge - I was just there on a recent trip to Dallas. Two tips:

1. If your rental car has a GPS, make sure it knows that the Pecan Lodge has moved (our car didn't and we just punched in the name, not the address).

2. More importantly, I was there on a Saturday and the line up at about 2 or 3 p.m. was out the door and around the block (and more). HOWEVER, if you are in a big enough group that you can commit to buying at least 4 lbs of meat (I think that's the cut off) you can skip that whole line and go to the express order desk. There was no line for that. We had four guys and ordered the "Trough" - a platter of brisket, beef ribs, pulled pork and pork ribs - it was a bit too much food and worth every penny.
