Pardon my ignorance and it has been awhile since I've seen anyone put a hard water buffalo tip on their cue as most players I know are choosing the fancy layered tips like Kamui and others.
I learned how to play pool on regular tips. I remember layered tips were the hottest thing out.
Anyways, to make a long story short....a friend of mine has passed away during COVID, RIP, and he use to swear on hard water buffalo tips. Fast forward this year another friend of mine has this tip on an old cue he uses to break with.
I can't believe the amount of action and accuracy I can get with the hard tips. You can draw and masse contrary to what people say and the cue ball comes off the tip faster than your normal soft and medium tips.
Who was the original company that produces these tips? Are they still around? Are they layered?
