APA Leagues

I'm sure this is probably a strange question, but are you allowed to play in an APA pool leaugue?

I just wondered what would constitute a "pro" and I would think you would obviously qualify for one. I'm asking because I had heard rumors that another female pro would be joining the APA in my area soon....as a 3.

Did you ever play apa and if so what was your handicap?

Nope, I'm not allowed to play in APA leagues. I think it is the top 32 or maybe top 40 players in the WPBA that cannot play, but I'm not 100% sure.

When I was younger, maybe 12, they let me play in an in house APA league at my families pool room....I guess either they didn't turn my scores in or the transposed the numbers in my age! Other than that I got my pro status before I was 21 so I never got a chance to play in the APA. I've actually never played any league pool at all.

Hope that helps. Seems a little fishy though if someone that has played in pro tournaments is starting as a 3!
