Here in Las Vegas at Apa nationals, the minis are a disaster this year.
Not sure what is going wrong but yesterday I played a match, won in 20 minutes then waited 3 hours for my next match

Kenny Brisbon started a doubles mini at 5pm he was still playing the final at 2.30am
The line of people is 10 deep around the desk with people complaining waiting.
And no answers

This why I gave up playing tournaments. A few years ago we had a big bar table event. People showed up from several surrounding states.
There were 59 entries. It took me 12 hours to place 19th out of 59.

Tis why I love playing in the White Diamonds event. Runs for two days. Yes you wait cause there isnt alot of tables and it is 128 players. But it goes smooth an the action and talent there to watch no one should ever complain.

I've been to the Southwest challenge a couple of times and the Nationals once. Your experience mirrors mine. One mini that was supposed to start about 5 or 6, I can't recall now, I was starting the last game about 2 am. It would have been the easiest match by far, but I no longer cared. Waiting an hour to start, an hour or more between games-I was done.

The last BCA event out here, i had one mini take 6 hours iirc. Same thing, whooped my first opponent and before i played again he was in another mini. The others i was in went fine.

They're always like that at the APA Nationals. The minis there are a mess. Join NAPA, they have a great Nationals event and the minis are run much better.

It'll always be that way when you have a fraction of the players.

BCAPL Nationals

You should join the BCAPL. I hear their mini tournaments run the smoothest.
