APA "Quarter Sharks"

The best way to prevent all of this from happening is to just get down and shoot the 8-ball. If the quarters bother you then you have a concentration issue. Focus on the task at hand and you will be ok.

The part that bothers me is the folks have to behave like this to try and win a game. I've never missed a shot yet on the "quarters" move, nor lost a match with it. It just irks me that folks stoop to this to try and win. I just don't like the fact that they do it, and are allowed to get away with it. Thus, why I'm going to take the "concession" win next time they do it... game over the second they take the quarters out. Problem solved. Bet after that they never do it again.

It's the sad reality that the people with bad behavior get catered to. From pool rooms to schools and workplaces.

Bad behavior = a place which makes players use quarters on league night.

I play in the APA as it's the only league in my area that I know about. I barely started a year ago but in that time I haven't had anyone be rude during a match least not that I'm paying attention to. I've heard some passive aggressive remarks made while teammates may play and if I overhear I'd quickly tell them that my teammate is shooting and if they mind being quiet for the shot and they listen as most in my league see me practice and play and know I'm serious about pool. It could just be a local thing also as just about everyone knows everyone in my league and just about everyone is friendly

My favorite "Quarter Sharkers" are the ones that do it when the tables are open due to green fees :)
