Have fun with the tournament. Not going but have been 3 times for team 8ball and had fun at each.

As far as steaks go I have had great steaks at Delmonico's in the Venetian and The Palm in Caesars. For a bit less money Gallaghers in NYNY is also very good. I have also gotten some good Porterhouses at The Steakhouse in Circus Circus which is close to the tournament and easier on the wallet than the first three places mentioned.

Our team is going and for half of us it will be our first time. We will be there Aug 20-28. Any suggestions on things to do, gotta see for first time visitors? Any good suggestions for restaurants, not too pricey but nice. Best casinos for cheap slots, penny or nickel slots for the wife?

If I eat steak at all these great places I'll never have time to play pool! LOL! I'm a buffet guy, so I love the seafood buffet at the RIO

Slots of Fun across the street from the Riviera has cheap slots and everything ($1 blackjack). Just stay away from the $1 hotdog!! LOL!

N9NE at the Palms. Gives Ruths Chris the 4 out.

That's a great idea. We are going to Delmonico's tonight but might try N9NE when we come back for the tourney. We are going out for a team dinner and were thinking of Olives at the Bellagio were you can have dinner on the balcony next to the fountains. Of course getting 10 people to agree on one thing is next to impossible.

You have to go downtown at night and see the fountains and the conservatory at the Bellagio. The Stratospere is cool too if you aren't afraid of heights and like crazy rides. Harrahs groups has a buffet special. A 24 hour pass to all of their buffets for 45 with a 15 surchrage for the seafood buffet at the Rio. Check prices at Olives Restuarant in the Bellagio. If its in your price range eat dinner on the balcony and enjoy the fountains while you eat.

N9NE is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. Its a pretty loud atmosphere compared to a lot of steak houses but I like the vibe and the food is great. The bone in ribeye and pretzel bread are insane. Have not been to Delmonico's or Olives I'll check them out some time.

Thanks T we will do our best. I have been trying to get ready but the same stupid mistakes keep poping up. Looks like we will only be able to play 2 lineups. Could leave me the odd one out which is fine I will probably be doing most of the coaching though.

Looking forward to it. Should be a great time. Would like some suggestions on a really good steak house along the line of Ruth's Chris or better.

I'm not a fan of Ruth's Chris. At all. It just ain't worth what they charge.

If you are staying at the Riv, there is a very good steak house in Circus Circus called, well, The Steak house. IMO, it is just a notch below the top palces, but the prices are very reasonable. It's only a short walk across from the Riv.

If you want to go up the food chain, walk over to Palazzo and hit up Cut. Great aged steaks, but you'll pay for it.

N9NE is also one of my favs, at the Palms. Too far to walk, but it's worth the cab fare. Good place to celeb watch, if you're into that thing.

*Edit- there is one other place, on west Sahara, close to the Riv called The Golden Steer. Decent steaks. It's a Rat Pack era hangout, back in the day. I would rate it along side of The Steak House; reasonable prices and just a notch below the top places.

My daughter will be coming out for a couple of days so i might take her there. Bone in ribeye's are the best. I'm trying delmonico's tonight for the first time. I didn't see your post until after I made the reservations. Are you going this year?

Can't wait to get to Vegas so I can finally relax. Beat from working to much. Hopefully I can play like I did for the city tournament because I am playing like crap, just to tired.

APA.. lol the minor leagues of pool

Since APA is obviously not your cup of tea, then why not just ignore all APA threads?

It's all been said before. You're not going to share anything new that we haven't heard yet. So why not just skip over APA threads and go find something constructive to do with your time.

Have a nice day!

Because it's an open forum and i'm sure you've noticed that most everyone shares their opinion knowing that others probably won't like it.

That said, have fun
