I witnessed a guy (SL4) beat another guy (SL4) 31-4 in a 9-ball match. What's the worst beating you've ever put on someone in an APA game?

These players were new to the APA league and it was their first game.

As a SL6, I beat a SL7 48 (or whatever a 6 needs) to 6. Match points were 20-0, it was one of those days where nothing went wrong for me, and everything he wanted to do turned to crap.

last night we put an S/L 5 up against an S/L 4 and our guy won 38 - 7. However...
last year in Las Vegas as an S/L 6 I had been playing pretty good and in our first match I played an S/L 5 and I got crushed, it was something like 38 - 12. Whatever it was the match score was 20 - 0, I couldn't play defense, I couldn't play offense and this guy did not miss. At one point during the match I turned to him and said "Tell me you're a 7 or an 8", he smiled and said "I'm a 5". At least he was a nice guy about it, pretty good dude that had an excellent game, Just one of those games for me, I guess...

as a SL7 i once beat a woman pretty bad. Somebody remarked that she had a pretty good stroke for a SL2 turns out she was an SL5 on a bad day.

65 to 9 when I was an 8 against either a 3 or a 4! I kept breaking dry too!!! I have the worst break in the world!

A few weeks ago, as a SL6 I played another SL6 and beat him 46-4. He won the lag broke and made two balls. I ran down to the nine and rattled it. He dry broke and I ran out. I broke and ran the next two racks, broke, made a ball, played a defense and ran out for the win.

I did this against a very good player and friend. We've played each other many times with a pretty even win loss ratio. Nine ball is a funny game in that it seems one player or the other always gets the rolls.

My first LTC as a SL3 I beat another three 25-3 for an HLT skunk. Matches like that aren't so common for me. More times than not I'm the bug and not the wind shield. My career win % is 46%

APA 9 Ball

This wont sound that bad but I beat a SL9 65-31 as a SL8. The reason it was impressive is that we were close to tied at 24-21 and rest was basically all me. Oh, and it was in the Regional Championship to advance to Vegas 9 ball singles. :grin-square: He didnt even take the plaque home.

i dont know about SL stuff but i beat my friend Robert who is a C-/C player 27-4(9-0,9-3,9-1) in 3 races to 9, one time a couple years ago on a 9' box with 4 1/2" pockets. he can break and run out sometimes, but dont kick good, so i played him real tight.

In playoffs the other night, saw a SL2 on the other team beat our SL4. She was already ahead of him pretty bad, but he had the break. He broke dry, and she ran the rack. Pretty good for a SL2. Don't remember final score but she won pretty easy.
