Heh APA7, a little birdie told me that you are MIke Howerton, the guy who runs this forum. You made the mistake of emailing this person back. Now we know. You suck and are just as demented as the people you have kicked off of this board, even more demented because you have to hide behind an ANON identity.

Now as I see it, you can do a number of things. (1) you can kick me off (2) you can publically apologize to all of those you have punished and ridiculed (3) you can PM me and tell me to keep my mouth shut, or who knows, apologize again, or (4) you can KMA.

Or maybe you could just shave your head and post it on the forum as just another caught ANON, the most embarrising thing to happen to someone on the billiards forums. You are a gutless little coward without any class.

The person that runs the board is Mike Howerton, if I remember correctly. So you might have the wrong person. I think someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Makes me doubt if he has done the proper research to be posting his accusation.

We've had our differences in the past and it looks like it's not going to change. Since you decided to put this out for all to jump in, I'm in.

I know Dave Syrja. I've had dinner with him and talked with him. I HIGHLY DOUBT he is involved with you and your wacky wife's Internet dramas!

Let's put it this way; People have REPUTATIONS, which is based on their CHARACTOR. One thing about these forums is that you get a feel for someones charactor over time. Just read their posts. I have never heard Dave bad-mouth anyone, let alone get involved with FL and your wifes petty squabbles. Do you really think he changed all that to get involved with your pathetic little drama? C'mon. I don't have solid proof(I don't think you do either) that it isn't Dave, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

So why am I jumping in here? Well, as you know, your buddy FL pulled me into this way back when, and recently is still riding me. I refuse to pollute the forums with this crap, but rest assured, I will be discusssing matters with FL when I see him again.

I'm no Techy but if your whole smoking gun is that retarded IP trace, then you don't have much to go by. Not only are these trace programs known to be inaccurate, how the hell do you acertain the IP to one particular person and not just the general geographical area?! I can almost believe it if you said that Dave posted under HIS name, using an exact IP address, then posted again under a different name with the SAME EXACT IP address. If this were the case, then maybe you narrowed it down to maybe one person or a group of people using the same internet access(someone using the internet from work). Even then, you only have a good maybe!

Look, no sense getting into another drama(for cryin out loud!). I won't post anymore opinions after this last thought; If you feel that strongly about your "proof", take your "proof" and pursue legal action. I hope your bet stands up. Otherwise, quit whining.

What does this have to do with me? WW and I are quite different. You have never seen me post the identity of YW, apa7 or anyone else. I did trace some ips but if you remember correctly, I did not even put up the locations of where the ips traced too. But if you really want to know---two traced to the Vancouver Canada public Library. Two traced to NYC, not NJ. Mike Howerton told me that apa7 traced to NJ, that is where that came from.

Even if I had total 100% proof of who these individuals were, I mean, why bother. You can go back through the threads and will not find one where I ever posted a person's name, main computer name, and certainly not their address on any forums. In spite of what others do, I just will not stoop to that level. I might have shown some ignorance as a beginner and I am not a great player, but I do have ethics.

Now, Kent I have never had any problems with you and I certainly do not have anything against Eric, rarely interact with Dave, so why flame me and call me crazy? Have you lost it or something?

I do not know why ww posted this and I did not know he was doing this.I have been at home and he posted from another computer. This has nothing at all to do with me and If you cannot see this, than you are not as nice of a person as i thought you were. GRRRR

BTW- do not be so sure that I am tight with FL. You are not up on the latest but then I am not talking about that on the forums since it does not belong here.

IP Addresses most definitely mean nothing. About 2-3 years ago, somebody posted some disparaging stuff on CCB and the IP address was identical to mine, not once but twice!

I was unjustly accused but eventually was "cleared" by general consensus.

I live alone and no one had used my computer. I KNOW IP ADDRESSES MEAN NOTHING.

AT the time i had dial-up and doubt that someone could have "taken over" my PC from afar but i did consider that.

With the exeption of aol and yahoo etc, the neotrace software only traces to the server that the person's computer is going through. So what you get is one of three things 1) The person using that alias is dialing into that server because that is the closest one to where they live. 2) The person is dialing into that server but does not live there but it in a hotel,they might be visiting in that area, going to a tournament in that area or using a friend's computer or so on 3)dam* I forgot number three.

Incidentally, in looking at ccb, I found 5 people who I know live in different states but had the same ip. If I remember correctly, they were on aol. IP traces on aol come up empty unless the person is logged on, from what someone who knows something about that stuff told me.

But eric is right. Neotrace or whatever it is called now that mcafee owns it does not trace to the specific computer but only to the server. There is a soft ware that does trace back to the specific computer, I have been told, but it just was not important enough to me to look into that.

For me it was a cat and mouse game and i wish I had not told anyone, not even Ray what the tracing showed up. That was my mistake. I had some fun one day and others took it further and apparently much more seriously.

Im 90% sure i was on AOL at the time and from what you say, so was the basher.

I was/am also 90% whoever did it, did not live within 10 miles of me,despite the IP. Based on their knowledge of particular "pool community" i would have likely had to have at least known who they were. No one like that lived near me, nor did my "chief suspect".

I hope you are not mad at me too. I just think putting peoples names on the internet is beyond childish, to put it mildly. I hate to wish that my own husband gets kicked off, but I do. As soon as I wake up in Australia? I like in Arizona. Hence the AZhousepro. The only email address I have ever answered an email from was housepro@azbilliards.com or mike@rmhwebconsulting.com which both go to the same place.
