APA's equalizer

I've heard that it was posted some years ago. Just wondering if anyone has a copy on file of the APA's equalizer handicap that they have saved. I've tried a couple of links that have been dead ends. I'm a member of the APA and I teater between a 5&6,I would love to know what the differance is between a 5&6 besides having to win 1 more game... I don't want APA stories just the equalizer formula. Thanks

I think it never makes sense so it has to be BS
Apa is the most sandbagging group I have ever seen so if a software system did the handicaps it would be much better

Carl...There is more to it than that. There is sandbagging in every league, where there is handicapped play...not just the APA. I can tell you for certain that there is a software program that figures the handicaps, on a weekly basis, and it is updated every week, with new scores from that week's league play. The data is updated each week within the APA mainframe in St. Louis, and in each individual L.O.'s computer system. Just because you don't like the APA is no reason to badmouth them. They do a good job for what they do...bring new players into the sport (and they are the largest league by a 3-1 margin). The majority of people who play in the APA like the "system", or they would not play, and the league would die. It still hinges on the local L.O. being "hands on" involved with the league players. You can disagree on what you believe about the APA, and choose not to play...but it doesn't require bashing the league.

Scotts rite the apa is a great league. I just wanted to see how the handicap system works, and now I do. I'm between a 5&6 and wondered what the differance was besides having to win 1 more game. Not for sandbagging,I'm trying to win every game I shoot as fast as I can. You goof around "and you lose". As far as Dawg, I just had a good come back. No harm intended. As for the one's given me all the bad marks your probably the same ones who don't know how to have fun on pool nite either!!!
