Maybe we need a high speed camera on finals matches so the refs can look at the closer calls in slow-mo.

I do think the ref who called the womens finals match should have been paying more attention to the match rather then chatting with people far away from the ongoing match.I did hear that ref was the head ref at the event.

JMO,the referees at our BCA Regional events are not allways top-notch.I did see 1 ref in particular at a past regional who I thought was terrible to the point of being comical,but I did not see him at this last event.

Overall I think the refs do a very good job.It is a tough and thankless job to be sure.I know they have the best training to ensure they ref these events very well.

It doesn't matter what the hit actually was. Once a ref was called over it is in his/her hands.

I owe more explicit apologies to everyone, so here goes:

To Mr. Paul Sapp - my most abject apologies for 1. Confusing you with another ref. 2. For saying anything about you in an online forum (even though I never mentioned any names and didn't even know what it was at the time anyway) 3. Being out of line in any way 4. Mentioning to you after the match that I thought the call was unfair. 5. Copying and pasting which left out a letter in your name. 6. For insinuating you were biased (because I thought you were someone else). I hope that when we see each other again, I can buy you a beer. Live and let live.

To the other ref that reffed in the IPT - sorry for possibly confusing you with Paul.

To the President of the Western BCA org. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole organization. I have sung your praises ever since I started going there. I am sorry if anything I said online hurt your organization in any way because that was never my intention. With forethought and better judgment, I might have realized how it would impact you. I have always been one of your strongest supporters and have great respect for your entire Board. The people behind the desk and everyone running the tournament have my utmost respect. You could probably tell that from my various interviews I have conducted for the Western BCA. Let me just say that again, I was out of line and it will never happen again.

To the entire BCA pool league - I have been a BCA member for many years. I did not abandon ship and go to ACS, even though the Masters' competition is much easier there. I have always supported the BCA in thought and deed, and money. So because my actions were offensive, then again, please forgive me. It is inexcusable from any player, much less one of my caliber and standing in the pool world. I have always fought as an ambassador for the good of pool and to present a professional image to any sponsor. I do not do drugs, I do not drink, I do not swear, I do not smoke. So I humbly ask your forgiveness in this matter.

Well, because I am Asian and hear that we all look alike, it has floored many people when I just tell them that they all look alike, always said in jest. It is my standard comeback when I forget someone's face and I am glad you can appreciate the humor. But I didn't feel like it was appropriate for the BCA.
