If you weren't one of the 1000+ watching the SVB/Appleton match on the TAR stream, you missed a helluva match. Final score 9/5 Appleton. With Billy and Freezer in the booth again, the commentary was spot on as well. Thanks again to TAR for a great stream!:thumbup:
 
Couldn't believe it, but I actually found myself feeling sorry for SVB. Appleton put on a clinic!
 
I think Shane will come back and do a lot of damage in that tourney! Sometimes it takes a loss to get him fired up...I think he gets bored at times. Anyway, good luck to Mr. Bartram!! Hope they are both on their game!! It will be fun to watch :)
 
i think Darren had a better break than SVB on that match..He broke and ran the last 3 racks there

Yes, SVB didn't play great. After the first 2 games I thought he was gonna roll with his break working so well. Just didn't turn out to be his night :( Darren played alright but nothing spectacular. I felt like he had some really fortunate rolls on the shots he didn't hit well which kept his momentum. SVB would have won 9-5 if he played to his ability IMO!
 
Argh! Here's another great matchup I couldn't see because of the time difference (I can't stay up and watch a match that starts 1am cst when I have to be up at 6), and yet another reason why TAR should archive their ustream shows. This match, along with countless others, is now lost in the mist of the internet. :(
 
Well when Daz 3 fouled SVB that was the turning point in the match. He dogged a 10-Ball and an easy shot to go ahead 5-2, believe me the score of 9-5 is quite generous, Daz put on a show against SVB.

Is SVB having trouble with the Euros, First Melling beats him twice in the grandmasters and then Daz beats him in 10-Ball. SVB's two best games are 10-Ball and Bar Table 8-Ball. Makes you go hmmm.

Boy, was I happy that I woke up early at 6am (London time) on a no work day! :D Gooooooooo Dynamite!
 
I only watched the first four games. SVB had a very good oppurtunity to put a package together from the start but didnt draw his rock enough for the nine ball in the second game. Darren missed the 10 that game. The next game Darren ran out with authority, that earlier miss didnt rattle him one bit, and to show it he hit the ten in way hard and almost followed it in the hole. I think he was just showing that was fired up and in stroke. I knew it was going to be tough for SVB by watching him run that rack and then 3 foul SVB in the next game. Everyone seems to forget that this guy won I believe the first World Ten Ball Championship a couple of years ago.
