Appleton def. Reyes in Virginia Beach

Appleton defeated Reyes 15-12 in a 10-ball match at Q-Master Billiards in Virginia Beach tonight preceding this weekend's start of the US Open 9-ball event. They used a 9-foot Diamond table, broke from anywhere behind the line, and called all shots. Jump cues were allowed. Winner broke and either Jay Helfert or Ken Shuman racked. The match was streamed by Inside Pool at no charge. Here's some info for the match:

I imagine that almost all matches uploaded to YouTube have had their results posted/written/announced somewhere in advance of their availability on YouTube. AzB often has threads that follow streamed matches game by game and then additional threads congratulating the winner.

I think JR Calvert did say this match will be put on YouTube, but I'm not sure of that.
 
I wonder how Appleton would have liked to play Efren in his prime! Will Appleton still be hitting 'em as strong as Efren when he's 58 years old?:wink:

It's still a great challenge match between two warriors. What a great way to start the Open, and you can't beat the price, either. Well done, Barry Behrman! Now, that's a great way to begin a week of pool! :smile:
