Appleton, WI

I have to spend 4 nights in Appleton next week. Any venues nice enough that I should pack a cue?
A few years back Darren Appleton did a couple of videos from the Mad Apple Burger & Billiard room that everybody is mentioning where he gives some good video tours all around the place including behind the scenes like in the kitchen. Videos linked below.

There is also an "AmericInn by Wyndhan Appleton Downton" hotel next door twenty feet away (where Darren stayed) if you haven't already worked out where you will be staying and like the idea of having the convenience of being able to walk next door to play/drink/eat.

Excellent, thanks!

Really good call on The Mad Apple. The tables are blue-label Diamonds in really good shape. I played on a 7-foot the first night, then spent a few hours on the 9-foot streaming table the second night.

Anyone know the story behind this great pool hall in small-town America? There were some real quality players in the back room.

The Fox Valley as it is called which is Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac seems to have an unusual amount of better than average players, must be something in the water there.
