1st and for-most killer avatar cn you send me that pic in full size. Who is she?

as far as your question they all are any of those makers are highly sought after won't lose a dime on any of them.

To add a few i would say Hercek, Richard Black, Black Boar, Szamboti's, Tascarelle, the list goes on.

ANy of those Makers are top of the list and i would find it hard to believe you would lose money on any of there stuff. Can't even see breaking even. THe wait list they hae I'm sure you could easy make a few bucks on any of them.

Meucci
Lucassi
Joss (east)
Adam
CueTec
Kaiser
Players
5280
Viper
Stealth

On, and don't forget Dale Perry 1/1's

Yep, that about does it for truly sound investments

Dude this sounds like a great thread but, this is the wrong forum. This should be in the main forum, this section is only for things for sale such as Glass Eye's or Prosthetic Limb's that people wish to trade for a cue, I think you get the picture.

Just thought I would help you out since your new!!!!:)

Craig Peterson, probably one of the top three cuemakers of all time. Indirectly taught many of the greats. Made few cues and without any modern equipment. Great hitting cue to boot.

cuemakers

it may be easier to narrow down if specified what you are looking to do.... buy a cue for invesment purposes only....or a custom cue to play with and not lose money down the road........narrow it further.....what price range?...this will eliminate many of the aforementioned, highend cuemakers and vice versa......also if cue maker is deceased then you will only be buying used cues...find a Palmer w/Szamboti Forearm.....newer Paul Mottey, people always like to play and/or collect his cues.....

add Hercek, high-end Schicks, Harvey Martin (?)..

maybe high end Mcdaniels, Danny Tibbitts, high end Arthurs, Art Cantando (the pool world still misses you).

ill hope for Vollmer, Josey, Fanelli and Sugartree (fantastic people to deal with, and they make great playing cues)

Collecting or Investing

If you are a collector or investor, having someone to trust about what to buy, when, and for how much is very important. Just because a cue maker is well known may not bring top dollar compared to a unique piece made by a lessor known maker. What percentage a cue may make in a year, two, or ten can only be gauged by the market forces. Right now cues in value categories are being effected by the economy. Send a PM to RuntheCentury here on AZ. He also knows a thing or two about cues.
