Bolts and half bolts of Aramith (Burgundy) and Velocity Pro (various colors) are on liquidation at Billiard Wholesalers. Call Dick for pricing. Nice opportunity to pick up some good worsted cloth on the cheep.

just an observation

....I've found the 860 Simonis to last longer with say 2 to 3 hrs. of play per day than the velocity does for sure. With that amount of play the Simonis is still acceptable after a years play, where the Velocity is gone in about 7-months. Also, the object ball throws less on all the thinner, imitation Simonis cloths. The Brunswick worsted wool cloth is heavier and lasts a bit longer but it's so much slower initially, too. Also, the Brunswick cloth has playing quirks when compared to the play of the Simonis 860, too. If your customer is planning on competing in tournaments, that play on brand new Simonis, I wouldn't want them to get used to the play of the imitation cloths.
However, if your customer is a normal-Joe, he'll probably never even notice the characteristics described here, unless someone points them out to him.
In the end though, any worsted wool cloth is better than an 80/20 cloth for over-all performances sake, for sure.

I was thinking about getting that Brunswick cloth (can't remember the name) because I heard it was better then Siomonis.

Your joking right?

I was thinking about getting that Brunswick cloth (can't remember the name) because I heard it was better then Siomonis.
The Brunswick cloth is called Centennial, of course. But I'm pretty sure it's Championship Tour edition with Teflon added to the weave. I figured everyone here in this section would know that, so I didn't mention that, in regards to the original question, when talking about the playability differences of the Simonis compared to the other types of competing cloths.

Pretty sure?
You sounded like a cloth expert.

Ha Ha Ha!

This reminds me of gradeschool!

For the record, I play pool first!
Everything, and I do mean everything else, with my involvement in all aspects of this sport, revolves around my passion for playing pool!

What I know about cloth I've learned on the table,:thumbup2: and from talking to those who promote their product from within the professional side of the sport.:outtahere:

You should stick to playing rather then answering questions in this part of the forum about cloth - which you obviously know little about. If you have an "opinion" you're best served by stating "in my opinion".

Wow!

Tell me what the f*** you know, GENIUS!!!

Your just like "your-ole-buddy" aren't you, a snake!!! Except you kinda hide it a bit, a bit more subtle with the adversarial crap!

Well, why not talk about something wrong with what was stated, instead of insults, that accomplish little or nothing for the benefit of those who sincerely asked the original question!
[Which, by the way, (my answer to that question, wasn't directed towards you at all)]!

Does this scenario sound familiar to you?:speechless:
Tear down! Tear down! Tear down! What's left but B.S., if the foundation of your accusations is just about establishing something for the benefit of your own ego?

Not joking , huh? :grin-devilish:
Again, now how does this kinda banter benefit our SPORT?
Or do you even give a sh** about that?

I seen the old double team in my life before, too, pardner!!! One person to set-up the fall, the other to push you over! WELL-----, lots-of-us-learned-as-kids-on-the-playground how to end that sh**, for good, once and for all time!

Stay tuned, more fun to come in the next week or two. I'm getting a post ready now, that another long standing member said, "would make for a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS PRESENT!" It will come with pictures and diagrams, on the "Diamond table banks" thread controversy you called for an early end to!:yeah:

Remember, know the truth, and the truth shall set you FREE!!!

Well, why not talk about something wrong with what was stated, ...
Simple - you make a blanket statement about the pool playing world like you're some sort of authority on cloth - which you're not. Velocity has been discussed countless times before. It plays fine and is inexpensive. Can't decipher the rest of your dribble, which being your first trip into Talk To A Mechanic, makes you look pretty foolish. Do stick to playing and posting in the Main section since you're obviously not qualified to advise anyone here.

... The Italian slates that came on these tables have excellent surface speed (they were polished). ...
Say What??? Surface speed? Polished?
I sold OIS. It's called diamond-honed and has nothing to do with ball speed. Better reread whatever source information you're trying to impress us with.
