me too, i have a set of well used Centennals I bougt new for my GC4 at home and when I was in Germany the spot I was playing had nice tables and $40 balls so I went out and bought a brand new set of aramith pro balls-what ever ones were the best, where I went had all of them except the TV balls with the different colors, anyways yes I had/am having problems with them, I took them to Vegas and used them and my centennials on the same table and couldnt get the draw on them or throw them as well, my aramitth balls have 20-30 hours on them is all and are very slipery-which I think is the issue,
I used 4 different CB's with them the one the set comes with a red circle, blue circle and measles, the one it came with and the red circle I had the most response with, I used lots of different cues weight and lenght and makers, and it isnt in the cue, the blue circle and measles played about the same, and the red circle and the aramith CB played about the same. It was fun testing all this, i did it a month ago, i almost made a thread but i figured its been talked about alot.
I'm a blue circle cue ball cue ball guy, but I like the measles. Its gonna take some time to get used to the aramith balls, but if thats the future i have too.
one more thing because i used alot of different cues that night I was playing around with all this, I have different tips on the cues and some new tips some old etc and it made no difference. It is in the stroke, you have to put more on the rock to get the same action you get with centennal's. I was hitting them good the night I did my experiment, they are just slippery balls, I dont know how they wear.
I had a set of Rashig(SP?) years ago that were bouncy what I mean by that is when playing one pocket if you just wanted to hit a ball in the pack thin it would just open up easily which is great for straight pool, I lost them and they had maybe 10 hours play on them, i cant stnad it, man I wish I had them, I bought them just to collect them not for playing. All balls play differently
