For the longest time, I have tried to get the new Aramith Black Dot Measles Ball. None of the pool supply websites had any.
Instead, I purchased a Predator Arcos cue ball until the Black Dot becomes available. Aramith was unresponsive to inquiries.

If anyone is interested, you can order the Aramith Black Dot on Seybert’s. I received their email notice the other day that
said inventory was available. I called Seybert’s before ordering one & was told they didn’t have any. Then my friend calls & says he got a notice his was being shipped. I checked Seybert’s again. Low & behold it’s now listed as being in stock.

The price is $45.00 plus tax & shipping in case anyone is interested. The Predator CB is OK but I still prefer the black dot
design. Naturally, I placed an order for one . IMO, the black dot version looks much better then the Aramith red measles ball.

after you play with it for many hours, you will see you play just the same with the red dot.

Actually that’s probably true of anything new or novel. But the black dots just appear to be more clear
than the red dot version. The black dot design on white CB offers a better contrast than red dots, IMO.

That’s why I originally purchased the Predator Arcos CB despite already owning 2 red dot measles CB.
Nonetheless, any new design will eventually become the norm to one’s eye, even Centennial pool balls.

Know what? There isn’t a better looking pool ball design than Brunswick Centennials. Aramith Tournament
balls come close. As far as cue ball designs, the new black dot measles is the best so far. That’s why I got it.

Agreed that those are certainly the two best looking sets, but it’s just your subjective opinion as to which one is the best looking, just like whether one feels the red Measle or the black Measle cue ball is the best looking.

I will say this which others may or may not confirm - an Aramith Tournament set with a couple years of usage to me looks much shinier and newer than a Brunswick Centennial set after similar usage.

I’ll let you know in a few months. My Ballstar machine needs a new BSPS supply switch but none are available
until later this year. Even Ballstar couldn’t help me locate any in the USA. So my Centennials will not be getting
the typical treatment of being regularly cleaned and polished so I’ll get to see how well the set retains its luster.

Manning lists the switch as in stock. If not, it is not proprietary.
Any electronics supply house, Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, etc. Very inexpensive.

For those folks who don't know, Predator Arcos balls are made by Aramith.

But, not all Aramith balls a created equal. The Duramith Tournament set, best I have had to this point. They do not leave burn marks in the cloth near as bad and they clean so easily.

In my experience, seyberts is great.

Reliable enough that I'd pay a bit more to purchase from it, vs a cheaper random seller.

Confidence the transaction will turn out as expected is pretty valuable.

I bought an extra Aramith cue ball. With the aid of a Sharpie, I made my own red dot (or blue or black ) measles ball.

Thanks….Manning doesn’t have any…….they were the source I ultimately was given by Ballstar to contact.
I might try a local fixit shop. The Ballstar BSPS fits flush so if I can’t duplicate that, I’ll just wait til it’s available.

Manning, Pool Dawg, Seyberts, Billiard Bay, Cuestix, Gebhardt’s & Pooltableplace I contacted did not have any
despite a couple of the websites showing stock on hand. Ballstar (Korea) replacement parts should ship by yr. end.

It's a great ball no doubt. Glad they are back in stock. I got mine with my Blak set. The Blak balls I just couldn't get used to but still use the cue ball. Dynaspheres is where it's at for me these days.
