Johnny Archer, Corey Duel, Charlie Bryant and Earl Strickland are playing in an open team tournament in Alpena, Mi this weekend. They are all playing on different teams. Each team has five people and one of them can be a pro or double A. This tournament is being held at the Holiday Inn. Anyone can come and watch. I was there on Thursday night when Archer did an exhibition. Rumor has it that many strong players have teams coming!! There should be lots of good action to watch, the pool tables are open for play 24hrs. a day.....

Finally someone figured out how to get the pro players paid. Amateurs are the ones with the cash, hopefully this tourney is worth everyone's time and effort. Oh and I always like to see Archer win.

I predict that none of the above players win the team event. I do think it is cool to have some pro players in team play though.

This tournament is on bar tables, so I guess were gonna see how good pro players do on the bar box.

J.Goosman...Considering most, if not all, of them will be headed from MI to NV for the Reno tournament (which is played on bar tables, albeit Diamonds), I'm guessing that they won't have any trouble on the Valley barboxes. This is a nice event to have here, and I hope there is a big turnout! Kudos to whoever put this tournament together!

If there is any question about how Cory plays on the bar box, just search on here for the video of him and if I remember correctly Niels playing a race on one...
