Archer Vs. Basavich

The match would never end... Danny, running around the table, checking the shot from every possible angle, and a couple most of us have never seen, all the while his shoe friction on the carpet developing little lint pills, then Johnny picking all the lint pills off the floor before he can settle in and shoot... War and Peace would seem like a short story!

p.s. yes this was meant to be funny, between the two of them with their ed norton art carny pre-shot manerisums, you could plotz!! but hey, what works for them, works for them right, right!! i might even be on the slower side once i get out there, on stage, as it were.

I've got to agree. I've played some pretty slow players, but that kind of obsessive compulsive type behaviour is just plain strange.
 
after watching the skins program today i was going to make a thread like this but since there is one already i have to say it here, man he made me nerveous just watching him. I have watched a match with Corey and Danny before and during the break they had other players comment on Danny and they all said he was too slow etc... especially Corey and during the skins program you could see Corey, Ralph and Luke making faces or sighing around, i could see Johnny in the crowd smiling around during Danny at the table it made me laugh cause it seemed like Danny through them off their game just a bit especially Luke cause of how fast he plays. I love to watch Danny play his preshot routine is great and fascinating to watch him do all his things. Wipe his face off, make shure his neck is loose, etc... In Short it was great to watch great shooting.

It is part of Danny's preshot routine to get comfortable with his body and
the shot. When he was here hustling, he wasn't that slow unless it was
a pretty good money game or a particularly tough shot. I remember him
shooting a long tough almost straight in shot with the cueball on the head
rail and having to power it up, I thought he was going to stroke it forever,
but forever came, and he made the shot and got shape too. I think Danny
has a problem getting his body 'just right' for a shot, and it interferes with
his mind if it isn't.

Haven't you ever had someone on the ropes, they develop all kinds of nervous
little habits when they are about to get busted.
