Are all cushions perfect right angles to each other?

I was looking at my pool table and I noticed something odd. It just looked like it moved. Like one end "moved", it's hard to explain. When I look at right on, it's as if the pool table is not perfect square to the rest of the room. Almost like someone picked it up, and deliberately put it sideways to the rest of the room.

Considering the thing weighs a lot, I have hard time believing it happen. Anyhow I remember reading this:

One thing to watch for: It is possible with at least some Olhausen models (and possibly all of them and other brands as well) to install the table out of square. This happened to me, it was very subtle, and it took me about six months to figure out what didn't seem to be quite right. The installers were very embarrassed and apologetic when they returned to fix it, and also out a good bit of time since it's a 50-mile one way trip from their shop to my house.

Measurements perpendicular to the rails on each side and end of the table will detect a table that is trapezoidal, but not one that is a parallelogram. You need to measure both diagonals from pocket corner to pocket corner to detect the latter, and that will also detect the former.

I wonder if this is what happen to me. So I pulled out a right angle ruler, and only one of the cushions are perfectly flush. One pockets was quite a bit off. My question is are all cushions perfect right angles to each other. Is this an installation issue or is it the table itself.

All of the corners should be right angles. If they aren't all right angles, then it may be kind of unfortunate that one of them is. That would indicate a possibility that one side was longer than the other or one end was longer than the other, or maybe both of those.

I don't know enough about how tables are made and put together to know how much room there is for installation error. If you have a good tape measure, I suggest measuring everything very carefully. That should tell you a good deal. It'd be interesting to know what you find.

From your signature, it seems the table is an Olhausen. Did you get it from the dealer? If so, I wouldn't expect any problem in getting it fixed.

Yeah, it's from a dealer. I think I just might give them a call.

Check the 4 corners with a framing square.
If a problem it may be as simple as loosening the rail bolts, adjust to square and retighten.

Table square?

I just fixed a similar problem for a guy who couldn't figure out why 2 of his corner pockets were smaller than the other 2. It was also an Olhausen, and was set up as a slight paralelagram-not square in the corners. Loosening the rail bolts and adjusting the rails, as Dartman suggested, was all that was needed. Yours sounds a little different, and I would definately have a framing square handy while they are fixing it, if they don't have one.
