Are LD Shafts Needed On A 7' Table

I knew one guy that did (Mike ???- can't remember the last name). Bet a guy in the bar using the broom stick in the back. Unscrewed it and scuffed the end. Used center english and beat the guy to death.

Benny Z. plays at my local place. He will use my Jacoby heavy hitter break/jump and run out on the hardest table in the place. He actually plays quite well with it,lol. And it has a phenolic tip...

I bet he had a cooperative broomstick, one which could at least make stop shots! But you cant tell me the same guy doesn't play way better with a decent cue.

Now on a 9 footer, no way in hell....especially for 9 ball. A phenol tip would be tough, but an upgrade..... way different story from a broomstick.

That was 20 + years ago. Yes. 7 foot table in a bar.

I never mentioned he didn't play better with his playing cue. Of course he did. I also never mentioned anything about a 9 footer. I am sure that would have been ridiculous.

IMO The best shaft to use on a 7ft table is the same shaft on all other size tables.
It does not matter if it is LD or HD (one is not better than the other...they are different)

When allowing for squirt, some of it you do consciously, but some of it is done sub-consciously....This is one of the reasons to always use the same equipment.

Also Snooker cues are naturally lower deflection anyway because of there low front end mass (tip diameter..........Look at Predator, OB, Tiger etc all of their shafts with 11.75mm tip are less deflection than their corresponding 12.75mm shaft.
