Or other things that pool players have? That they do not have? What makes a pool player jealous in the first place?
Many Regards,

Fixed that for ya

Everyone has been jealous in some way shape or form at some time in life, I believe that to be a fact even in the most innocent forms.

Ah, maaan...I wish I'd said that...:bash::banghead::banghead:

I'm jealous every time I play somebody who is phenomenal without even trying. I practice and get marginally better, while they take weeks or months off and can still run racks. Maybe envious is a more appropriate word... Like jealousy but with respect mixed in.

Double hemlock,
You can still say that! Of course we are only talking about pool players here.

I was just jealous that Lenny beat me to it....
Why can't I be first once in a while?...:crying:

There's only one think I'm jealous about when it comes to pool.
That is,when a no-name player beats a big named player,specially
in a Tournament and the no-name guy never gets the credit he so rightly
deserves. Its always about the big player not getting the rolls or how the lesser player just got lucky.I'm jealous when I have beaten big players
and if I even get wind of someone saying that sh-t,I tell them right away
''Oh no,I didn't get lucky,I actually got unlucky cause I should of beat
him worse''.

I think the answer is yes. I taught a friend of mine how to play about 7 years ago and at the time he couldn't run two balls. Now he is a beast and the game came natural to him. But he put in the work to raise his game and had natural talent as well and I want to see him win but their might be a side to where I'm thinking how come the game didn't come that easy to me !!!

Hope I'm not jealous of better players. By paying attention, I can learn something. Progress in pool has been slow for me, and I realize I'll never be a top dog...but hey, I do it for fun. If it stops being fun, I'll quit.

I used to be jealous when I found out my first wife's old boyfriend had a bigger stick than me. Then she explained to me that it was more important how it was used and that I used my stick much better. I felt much better after that. Sort of the indian versus the arrow thing I guess.....

I'm not jealous of the skill someone else may have. I'm jealous of the TIME they have to work on their game. I remember many years ago when I showed up for my first pool lesson. My instructor asked, "You have a job or a girlfriend?" I replied "Both", and he quickly responded, "Well you'll never be a great pool player."
Many of the best players from our area either have had no real jobs for many years or only "kinda" had jobs i.e. works for daddy, works part time but lives with parents, etc.
I believe with proper instruction and TIME, most players can become great players. When I was young I broke up with girls who wanted to go out on Friday and Saturday nights just so I could get my gambling fix at the pool hall at least one of those nights. Yeah I suppose that sounds gay lol, but TIME is the most valuable thing ever. I can get laid during the week but can only play an 18 hour gambling session on Fridays and Saturdays.
Now I'm married and time is more scarce than ever... but I have a plan!

Not really Jealous

Not really jealous, more like SCARED when I'm playing a great player.
I've seen more players drop their ability when they used to play Buddy Hall, etc.

I'm jealous when a guy that never practices plays at three times my speed, but I'm envious when a guy has the dedication to put in three times my hours.
