I somehow doubt "science" will every completely unlock the mysteries of how the mind works. The subconscious is plugged into sources that may be so deep in "Inner Space" that science will never reach it.

There's "Outer Space" and there's "Inner Space".....I believe there's a possibility both are infinite. 'The Game is the Teacher'

That could be but since we are not scientists and we don't study this in the ways that they do we don't have any way of knowing what they know nor how to use it.

Right now there are ways that people can manipulate objects using brain power alone. The electrical signals generated by the brain are translated into computer code that instructs machines to move.

How about telepathy? Someday it will be possible to use just thought to type a text message and beam it to you so that you see it displayed as if it were on a piece of paper in front of you.

What if someday in the space of ten seconds facing a situation I could access everything known about how to play it, effectively getting coaching from everyone who ever lived and then I played the shot the right way even though ten seconds prior I didn't have a clue what to do? Is that natural talent?

I mean some of this is science fiction still but some of it is very real. Right now I can access plans and detailed instructions to build a ton of complicated things for which I would have needed to go to school to learn to build in times past.

I know you are a metaphysical guy and I am too. I think that there are mysteries and connections that we may never fully understand. I mean it's pure magic that we exist at all when you think about it. But the real magic lies in REALLY thinking about it and understanding what an amazingly IMPROBABLE situation it is to have intelligent life capable of pondering it's own existence. That by itself is a miracle.

That's true, I remain an optimist which is why I don't believe in limits. I don't believe that anyone is born to do anything, nor do I believe that anyone is locked into a fate or destiny.

That said research is unfortunately showing that there are predictors for how people are wired so to speak. It's going to be possible to predict how a child will behave and react to stimulus just based on his genetics and his experience in the womb.

That is in a way destiny or a lack of free will. Even if you think you have the free will to react a certain way it might be that your brain is already wired to react another way. And in fact we see this in retarded people and autistic people. They simply don't react to stimulus the same way that "normal" people do.

So in a way this makes some people "naturals" at some things. But as I said previously research also shows that when people turn their minds to mastering a subject or task they often can IF they put in the work and if the pieces fall into place.

I do believe Light has intelligence and without intelligent Light the world could not exist. That's about as "far out" as I get - "metaphysics" is something I've read about, but never found any value/point in embracing.

I've only scanned the recent back & forth. But I consider the brain & the mind to be two(2) seperate 'whatevers'.

The brain is a very complex physical organ capable of performing both the reflex actions that have been programed into them by 'Whomever', as well as, perform the tasks, in most cases, that WE push it to do.

The mind is not the brain. It is more of an awareness that comes from a connection to something other than ourselves.

We play in the zone of dead stroke when our brain steps aside & gets out of the way of our mind & allows our mind to control our body to perform as our mind wants it to & not as our brain would normally tell it to.

I believe our mind has more access to inate knowledge & 'wisdom' than our brain. Our brain may only be an overly possessive processor for our bodies due to it's auto pilot reflex capabilities & not the actual Programer.
