The title says it all. I may be looking for a new house for dad, and we could probably fit a seven footer. I like the play of super speed cushions.
Thanks.

Which do you think are closer to GC rails? I haven't played a Valley but once every 10 years.I feel the Penquin rails play faster than Ridgeback
Are they of the higher quality that Ridgeback rails were? Or did Valley change them once they bought? Thanks.I guess none of you are aware that Valley bought Ridgeback rails, so they're now just Valley replacement rails.
Well, a friend of mine bought a set of standard rails $492 dollars, and was not impressed. Are they of the higher quality that Ridgeback rails were? Or did Valley change them once they bought? Thanks.
Ridgeback sold out to Valley, so now Ridgeback rails are manufactured by the Valley company, not by Ridgeback Rails anymore.Of the three, Penquin, Ridgeback and Valley, I rated them in that order. If
Ridgeback is now making all Valley replacement rails, that is a definate inprovement
Who's building them? The current pro-cut RB's play great. Way better than standard Valley crap.
They use to come with U23 cushions, 1" wide.I use to recover pool tables and I seem to remember that the rubber on Valley Pool Table Rails were a little smaller the full size Super Speed or the K66 rubber.
I'll ask a guy that use to work at Imperial International to confirm.
I'm very well aware of the Ridgeback rail design, I'm very well aware of why Kerry sold the business, and at the time he sold it, he offered it to Valley to buy, in which they turned him down. The ONLY reason they bought it when they did, was because they lost out on their APA table endorsement contract, and as a last resort had to do something to try and improve the way their tables played!! Now, they only build the Valley designed rails, not all the different rails Kerry built.Valley press release from Dec 2022 of acquiring Ridgeback rails:

Keep in mind, I was building those rails years before Kerry got started building them. I'm the one that talked Kerry into manufacturing them as Ridgeback rails, so I know more about the design of them than anyone does!! And Valley isn't exactly reproducing the same designed rails today, but hey, who am I to critique ValleyValley press release from Dec 2022 of acquiring Ridgeback rails:

Stop being so damn cheap and buy a set, find out for yourself. Kerry sold to Tate because Valley turned down a sale from Kerry. Unlike YOU, I have no need to buy rails from Valley as I still have the ability to build my original rails still to this day!!!Actually Kerry sold it to Randy at BarPoolTables then Valley bought it from them. They're not making rockets, you make it sound like only you can make one. Since you know EVERYTHING please enlighten the class on how the new RB's are inferior because i just emailed Valley and the mgr. said that some of the original guys are still there and they have newer manuf. equipment. No cryptic bs tell EXACTLY how the new ones are worse. I think you're full of it as usual. BTW, how's that pro tour coming along????? Keep sniffing that blue glue you pompous windbag.

Hey Einstein, do you see any staple marks or spray glue residue on the rails in those 2 pictures???? Damn you're slow, to slow to even respond to, go play with yourself, I don't need to have anything to do with you!!.How would anyone know if those were new from the box and not just pulled of a table??? Got pics of originals?? Looks like cosmetic problem only. Even if they were brand-new that would not effect how they play. Were the original ones dead perfect? I've seen them and some of the bolt holes looked the same. JoeRackem has sets that are fine on the back side. I don't believe these pics are of sets out of the box.
As an amateur worker, with amateur skills, you wouldn't know what you're looking at quality wise in the first place. So keep up the good work that you do, hacks are needed to in this line of work!!!https://www.ebay.com/itm/2350598461...d=link&campid=5335988529&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 These really look horrible. Go back to selling used cars or whatever you do.
