Are we missing the boat?

I was curious as to why the tv community insists on airing pool events at the most inopportune times. Why in the hell are we trying to compete with football as far as tv goes? Wouldn't it be in our best interest to air big events when it would benefit our sport? If it has to be during football season, why not use mid-week time slots? We don't have a season persay, unlike every other sport, so we should use every chance we get wisely. Maybe i'm an idiot, but i don't get it. (maybe a season isn't a bad idea) Tell me why we have to sit on the porch while everyone else is inside. I need some sleep, there might be pool on around 2 am and i don't want to miss it:rolleyes: .

What we are usually seeing is footage the network has unlimited rights to. They throw the pool out there as filler or when they don't want to waste stronger programming that they know won't stand a chance against football anyway.
