Are weight bolts between brands interchangeable?

So I currently have a Players break/jump cue, but I'm about to order a BK3. My questions are (I have 2 actually):

1) Are all butt pieces the same weight by default, and it's merely the weight bolt(s) they change before shipping that determines the weight of the cue when it arrives. Like, if you order 18oz and 21oz break cues, are the butt pieces actually the same weight, and they just come with different weight bolts?

2) I have a 19oz Players, so if I ordered an 18.5oz BK3 as I want to try a slightly lighter breaker, if I didn't like it, would I be able to put the weight bolt from my Players breaker into the BK3?

P.S. I know there's a weight bolt kit by Predator, I'm trying to avoid buying it if possible.

IMO...that would be a no.......manufacturers and cue-makers have options when it comes to the metallurgy of weight bolts.
My Jerry R. has 2 small, headless bolts (approx. 5-6 grams ea.) in the butt sleeve spaced about 2 inches apart. This was
done to preserve the cue's balance & in contrast, my Runde Schon has a single hunk of metal in its butt that renders it
relatively heavy in comparison. Cue-makers have a lot of latitude from what I've seen re: weight bolts.
 
One cues weight bolt does not necessarily fit another brand of cues. Thats not to say a few companies could use the same diameter and thread of bolt. I know for sure that the weight bolts I use in my cues will fit no other.
