Cue is in mint shape... Cue has original predator shaft with 1 of 1 custom "branded" Art Cantando shaft. My good friend was really good friends with Barry and Art so I followed along and had this cue built how I wanted it! More or less reminds me of the original Meucci cues I started playing with. I'm thinking about selling it, but wasn't sure what it's worth. 19.6oz, Ivory Inlays, and was one of his later pieces - before he was published in the 2nd Cue Blue Book.... I remember picking up the cue, standing next to his polar bear downstairs in his shop discussing the article with him since he met with the publisher weeks prior. So what do you think? I have endless pics if you want more.... I really don't wanna sell this piece BUT financially I'm in a rough spot. Thanks for checking my love out......

Drawman623 - Though this isn't the time nor place to discuss this BUT following over a dozen visits to his shop, I don't feel you have any authority to be questioning my authenticity. Who knows, you might be able to call XXX-XXX-2449 and speak with his wife. The shop, which was located downstairs from his residence, following the 8+ foot polar bear which was situated in the corner of his residence prior to entering the area which held his 9 foot billiard table. Near the lathe (i think), he had a picture of him killing the bear in Alaska or wherever he killing the polar bear. And I stand corrected. He wasn't mentioned till the 3rd edition. It's been 5+ years since the 3rd Edition came out. Considering I should have known this having #1 of 300 personally signed Blue Books by Brad and S.P. and am usually great at retaining my facts. So if there is something you'd like to say: please do so. If you're unwilling to assist me in my request, please refrain from posting - thank you. And I've only met Barry once so I wouldn't consider him a friend. My really good friend knows him on a first name basis.... I just followed along which allowed me to meet the son of one of the best! That's all that needs to be discussed.
This cue is a true player and plays better then 99.999% cues I've ever played with. howardthedick; I'll contact you Sunday if that's okay? The holidays have me in three different places at three different times.
And to provide a little more detail about the shaft. I shot with a Predator shaft for years. So I order the unfinished shaft and had it shipped to Art's place in PA a few weeks before the butt was finished. As we know the Predator shafts have the symbol at the joint; right? So I asked Art if he would add his logo to the Predator shaft just for me. Jokingly I requested this be the only shaft with his logo on it which he replied back with: of course. You'll be the only guy with this shaft. Though I can't be 110% certain no one else requested this "special" shaft during the last few cues he made, but I'm 99.9999% certain this is one of one. Might not be priceless, but to me its emotionally priceless.

What a great cue. The more I look the more I like.
I'm confused about the shaft(s?). Is there also an original Cantando shaft or is the Predator the original Cantando shaft? Does the cue come with one or two shafts?
Oh, and how much do you want for the cue? If there are 2 shafts and you would consider selling the cue with just the Cantado made shaft and that way you could keep the emotionally priceless shaft , I'd love to hear a price that way very much.

The OP said the cue played better than 99.99% of the cues he has played with, that alone is a very strong indication that Arthur built it. His cues play every bit as good as Szam's do. Infact its the closest cue there is to a Szam either Gus or Barry thats available. Gus and Barry helped Arthur with building cues and materials. You cant get closer than that.IMO.

Hey Kevin, I haven't heard anything from the seller about this cue yet. Speaking of bad deals & Escrow. I sent a guy a $350 Schon, the guy is an AZ Member with 60 positive trader and I've been kissing his ass for nearly 3 months and have only gotten $200 of the $350. I'm giving him till Friday and then I'll post and let everyone know who he is, I've kept all the messages and PM's I'll post them all, It's unbelievable how someone will rip me off and then try and justify it and attempt to make me look like the bad guy for trusting him. I'm extremely sorry for the delay. The holidays plus the crazy 24 inches snow which hot North NJ really has put a damper in my normal day to day.
Anyway, the cue was built with only one shaft. I'm kicking myself after the fact not to have had Art also make me one of his shafts. At the time, I only played with a predator shaft and that's what I wanted made with the cue and instead of adding the predator logo on the shaft, I asked Art to add his symbol which is where the 1 of 1 shaft comes from. mcrisp is a really good friend of mine and was the guy who introduced me to Art and Barry. He actually was the guy who drove me to Art's the dozen or so times we went there to discuss his cues or mine for that matter. I'm looking to sell if the price is right... I'm just not sure what it's worth so I'm kinda just hoping you guys could shed some more light on the situation... I really don't want to sell it but right now I got myself in some financial hardships... Had back surgery July 12th 2010 and with the bills, meds, PT etc.... It's really starting to add up. Hope this sheds some better light on the situation. I also have paperwork from Art regarding the cue. It might take a day or so to locate if this is something you'd also like.
I have over 300+ positive feedback (100%) ratings on EBAY and never had an issue with PAYPAL... Not sure how else to prove my honest nature of this situation.

Your reading it right BUT it's not right. It was a type-o when I wrote the request. The cue is 58'! I actually just double checked from bump stop to top of Moori Med tip = 58.25 inches. You'll also see I requested a uni-loc joint which isn't correct. That paperwork was what I wanted initially and then met with Art the following weekend to discuss face to face to Mike C aka "mcrisp"
